Mine was black shoes, charcoal slacks, grey shirt, Forest green wool jumper, and forest green and gold tie.

Back in my day we had 'office style' wear.
Black trousers or jeans with with white shirt and red sleeveless sweater.
Girls wear the same but with skirt.

But girl doesn't wear it, they wear something in neutral tones. I don't know why, maybe because they can.
It isn't so based as you think, it's just little aged gopniks and bydlos in office style suits, looks pretty funny.

We should reintroduce them. I remember the poor kids getting bullied because they couldn't afford expensive clothes, and kids were giant cunts.
Also, decision fatigue isn't very useful, especially with kids. Yeah yeah, I know mommy can select the clothing you will wear tomorrow when going to school, but you will not wear them because they aren't cool enough, or you saw another kid wear the same thing yada yada yada...

I disagree. Kids get bullied anyway. Uniforms are just an extra expense. They can often be quite expensive - the blazers of our school's uniform were quite expensive.

My high school and middle school forced us to wear khakis and black shirts/sweaters as an anti-gang thing and I didn't realize that wasn't common until I was 20. I didn't care then and I don't care now, it only really prevents teenage girls from dressing like thots.
