the Swedish words in Swedish obviously comes from Old Norse just like in Icelandic
some words are completely the same in Swedish and Icelandic and Icelandic is the closest language to Old Norse as it wasn't reformed or modernized like continental Scandinavian was

He's right, it's just arbitrary groupings. For example, most of the 'French' words in English are from Anglo-French (the language spoken by the Norman aristocracy after invading) and Old & Middle French, and have undergone significant change. Also, is a word derived from a 'foreign' word, also foreign? You can't phrase it in terms of present-day, standardised langauges. There were no standardised languages in the past, it was just a big pot of thousands of dialects. No clear language distinctions aside from clear geographic isolation.
