>Poland
>Porando
why are we this cute?

It's actually just "黑山", which is "Black Mountain," as the name implies. "共和国" is "republic." Perhaps to distinguish the name as a country, since "Black Mountain" by itself is pretty generic.
Either way, you pronounce it:
"hēi" (hey, but with a consistent tone because of first tone),
"shān" (shan with "ah," also first tone),
"gòng" (pronounce gong as you'd read it, but it has fourth tone, meaning your voice needs to start higher and drop lower; it's similar to how you'd perceive in English an "angry" sound),
"hé" (trickiest one; it's a sound similar to a sound of disgust in English, like "eugh". You also have second tone here, so your voice starts lower and raises),
and "guó" (second tone again, and you would say it like "gwa")
Still have a lot that I'm learning with Mandarin, but hopefully that clarifies.

>China actually calls us something deriving from Hellas

No it means country.
Fa means law.
France is the country of law

ah ok. i just thought it would sound more like the "sch" in "Deutsch" than the "tsu"

>France is the country of law
n-no

Attached: codedutravail.jpg (1060x523, 66K)

ahh I see

there's no sound like "sch" in Japanese
it could be “chu” instead but that may sound too cute in Japanese

right, "doichurando" or something would probably the best approximation. are you saying we're not cute?!

well, can't say we didn't butcher your country's name.
