How do we redpill Americans on transit?

How do we redpill Americans on transit?
We not only need better infrastructure in our cities, but a nationwide high-speed rail network.

how will you stop cowboys from doing train robberies?

I wouldn’t even be mad if a cowboy robbed a train I was on. I’d take pictures.

Fuckin wish I could chill in a train and watch the countryside.

*provides fast, ecofriendly intercity transport*
nothing personal, burger

Because the trains will go insane and kill you if you don't ask them riddles that stump them.

So when an American wants to go from Boston to Chicago they go by plane or what?

Yeah they’re faster than taking an airplane for regional travel.

But republicans are owned by oil companies so they won’t let it happen.

Yes. Keep in mind that those two cities are at least a day's drive apart.

How do ameriblobs without cars travel? They find the largest hill around and just roll?

Unless you prevent nonwhites from using it, it will fail you subhuman coastie

I mean I obviously understand taking a plane if you need to get NYC to LA or something, but for shorter distances like Boston to Chicago a highspeed train could really be useful
For one it's very comfy, especially in the vastness of America's nature, but secondly, and more importantly, it's way less wasteful, you can power the train by electrical power, far more environmentally friendly than the extremely wasteful aircraft

The northeast corridor is so crowded we would need to go full eminent domain to have true high speed rail.

>implying Americans will ever support paying taxes for nationwide transit
Those taxes are for the rich and Israel, you fucking communist!

Yeah. When my dad was a kid he was sent by train from CT to Illinois to see his grandparents. But times changed.

>Yeah they’re faster than taking an airplane for regional travel.
t. Never took a train in the NE.

I wish bandits still did that, would make life exciting.

I'm sure it happens in Mexico

Pretty much

>We not only need better infrastructure in our cities
Correct.
>but a nationwide high-speed rail network.
No point to it considering American distances and the extent of aviation infrastructure. Flying is already fast and reasonably convenient and affordable, and building rail lines for billions and billions of dollars to compete with it would just be a gigantic money pit, with the exception of densily populated metropolitan corridors like the northeast or California maybe (where partially high speed trains already exist).

Inner-metropolitan transport and metropolitan planning is the greatest issue in the US.

>they’re faster than taking an airplane for regional travel.

In germany, where major cities in 300-500 km from each other.
Now imagine New-York - Los Angeles train. You guys hate waiting more than vegetables, so passenger rail seems not suitable for US reality.

The distance between Boston and Chicago is the same as between Stuttgart and Madrid.

Name me one person that would take the train from Stuttgart to Madrid instead of a plane, let alone build a new train route between the cities instead of taking a plane.

You should rather concentrate yourself on the hyperloop.

For example, you could build an hyperloop between Boston and DC, another one between San Diego and San Francisco etc

>regional travel.

>restricting your movement to only large cities
I would rather kill myself desu

Attached: vomit.jpg (200x200, 15K)

>eminent domain is okay for building highways through the middle of cities but not for train routes

tb h no one use high speed trains for regional routes

>Memeloop

>having trains means I can't have a car anymore

They have to buy 2 plane tickets, since they fill 2 seats
>mfw I'm not exaggerating.

The Southeast and the Rust Belt are the optimal density for train network actually.

In the Southeast you have Atlanta, Nashville, Birmingham, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham all the perfect distance for a network.
And in the Great Lakes area you’ve got plenty of sizeable industrial cities the perfect distance apart.

Once you have those networks in place then you think about expanding somewhere more/less densely populated.

Also in the South, Florida is building a private high speed rail line. Texas might build one if Republicans stop trying to legislate against it.

>TFW went to germany and got to ride in their super fast train
You Germans have such a pretty place. Looking out of the train window into the nature was like looking at some tailored photoshop images to make things seem better then they really are but I was looking at it with my own eyes. You guys have such pretty nature.

Attached: Cute seel laughing.png (800x800, 286K)

Lmao even Germans often take planes instead of trains to travel across Germany

Trains are still often for poor people. Most people for work fly and rent a car

>Shows only American car companies.
>Only one of the oil companies is American
Who made this piece of crap?

Prettymuch. But I wouldn’t lump Ford in with the oil companies that run the GOP.
Ford is actually very honest and forward-thinking. The other American manufacturers are shit. Ford would probably start building train cars and buses to adapt.

I think it’s weird how train opponents will say
-Trains are too expensive!
-Trains are for poor people!
at the same time.
Also your biggest argument is that people also take planes to travel, as if that somehow meant you shouldn’t build a train. By that “logic” they shouldn’t have an autobahn or any cycling paths either.

Why don't Americans have sidewalks?

Why would i pay taxes for a train if I can just drive there?

Germans trains aren't fast. You are thinking of Japanese trains. They are the only country with good trains

All three of those oil companies have a base of operations in your country. One of them recently caused the largest oil spoil in history. Don't you know anything about the entities which own your government?

because people will use the train and that means less people on the roads so you can have a better driving experience

I never got WHY anyone opposed a high-speed train network in America.
It’s cheaper than building/‘maintaining highways and takes traffic off the roads, it’s safer and more energy-efficient, and you can use your car all you want. It’s an infinitely more efficient public investment than building a new highway, but private companies also want to do it (Republicans just won’t let them).
If you wanted to be smart with your tax dollars, you would support a high-speed rail network and a good city transit network. Car infrastructure is a huge drain on the public budget.

They are expensive to build and have the downside of letting the poors move about. They are supposed to stay in their containment areas.

Yeah im not going to pay for that. Here's what 99.9% of American highways look like. have the counties with high population densities pay for it, not the rest of the country

Attached: palouse highway painting.jpg (900x722, 68K)

German high-speed railways suck compared to France, Spain and Italy tho.

That would allow the blacks to transit

wrong pic

Attached: US highway.jpg (1200x900, 388K)

You have to pay a lot more taxes to build and maintain roads. Trains rely on very little tax compared to highways since they charge a toll. Highways are more socialist.

ah yes, typical american individualism

Maybe do a little research before spamming your uninformed opinion kiddo.

based and redpilled

Let the leftists in their overpriced shithole cities pay for it

Net costs of building a good train network will never be as much as highways, sorry.
Last year we spent about $450billion on roads/highways

By that logic VW, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, etc. Should be on that as well. We also have Valero and Chevron/Texaco as our own oil companies.

t. Assblasted coastie

Trust me, the densely-populated places do pay for the highways and subsidize rural Americans in dozens of other ways.
City dwellers even subsidize infrastructure and utility costs for suburbanites.

Highways also let me go in any direction and take me anywhere in this 3.797 million mi2 landmass

>t. coastfag

Our city and transportation planning is built around keeping the negros away from the whites.

>Reee suburbs, says the yuro
Suburbs are whiter than Europe

You mean they allow you to go anywhere the government has built a highway for you.

Attached: 527F3B82-BD25-4F51-A300-D9D915DF130D.jpg (2000x1078, 162K)

This, unironically! Italy has better and more reliable trains than Germany, they are cleaner and the coffee is worlds apart.

Sounds like you're getting cucked! Well, coasties are used to that ;)

Interesting. The poltard simultaneously believes that cities are overpriced, but also thinks the (cheaper) suburbs are only for whites.
So poltards think blacks are wealthier than whites?

Actually I’m In the Deep South hours from a coastline, not that that would have any effect on your lack of critical thinking ability.

Trains will never be able to take me from rural area 1 to mountainous area 2 so I have no interest in paying for them. It contradicts my adventurous lifestyle

>Trains will cover what roads cover today
kek

Attached: us road network.jpg (990x624, 172K)

Why do Americans have a seething hatred for trains? Why are they so profective of their awful motorway system?

>What is the ghetto and section 8
>What is the homeless infestation
numales / bugman are the ones paying huge amounts for the privilege of interacting with this human waste and being ~cultured~

If you want real culture, move to Europe

Trains are restrictive of your choices on where to go. Americans like to drive wherever they please

Still in a nigger infested area

You’re not driving to bumfuck nowhere though, let’s be real

The majority of Americans support improved transit infrastructure, but Republicans are run by the Koch Brothers so will not let it happen.

In Texas a private company actually tried to build a nice bullet train but Republicans have been trying to block it for years.
GOP is the party of oil.

Why do people in high population density 90% white areas think they know anything about America?

>It contradicts my adventurous lifestyle
Great. Have you considered that there are tens of millions of Americans that would benefit from having the option of rail transit?

In all seriousness, he doesn’t understand how public budgets work, or that his “adventurous lifestyle” is heavily subsidized by city-dwellers and he would not be able to afford it otherwise.

>He thinks Americans care about the welfare of other Americans
LMAO

Half this country isn't white

They are my fucking enemy! They try to raise my taxes. I only want good things for people in my region.

It is important to minimize the amount of money that I have to pay to ledasha or city numales

Poltards have a weird vendetta against population density.
They don’t understand that population density, good cities and fast inter-city travel are the reasons that made Europe lead the world in science and economics.

Can ICE 4 even travel at it's design speed in Germany? Or is it still can only do that in France.

So you’re proud of being a welfare queen

No, the reason it succeed was because it was white.

>lying is already fast and reasonably convenient and affordable, and building rail lines for billions and billions of dollars to compete with it would just be a gigantic money pit,
Lmao.
Literally all interstate/intercity air travel done in United States is done via federal subsidies because not a single fucking airline earns enough money to keep itself alive. It's just another case of the american capitalist "too big to fall" where they are eternally propped up by the feds.

Passenger rail in USA before was replaced by federally subsidized air travel and federally subsidized car travel (both infrastructure and car manufacturing) was actually earning money. But then the glorious Federal Government used their money to finance it's competition.

And you have the audacity to talk about gigantic money pits.

>b-b-b-b-b--b-bb-ut muh distances
USA had the best railway system on the planet in a time when distances between everything were even larger.

I want high speed rail. As long as my state gets left out.

I did yesterday

If whiteness was the only key to being successful, West Virginia and Poland would be the wealthiest places in the world

Attached: 499CC4A4-7677-429F-B3F2-3D8EBE7F6A96.jpg (980x652, 184K)

I don't care about other Americans

imagine living in a country without a true high speed rail. i thought america was first world. even india has one i think

The design speed of the ICE 4 is up to 265 km/h because it's been found to be much more economical than trying to squeeze a bit more speed out of it, while sacrificing next to no travel time. This speed can be achieved on a variety of routes. The rat race for the highest top speed is a fucking meme and only leads to utterly overpriced, uneconomical trains similar to what the Concorde was for flying.

Slavs aren't white

agriculture is also heavily subsidized, does that mean we should get rid of it?

True. Cities spend millions of dollars a year on airports and get huge federal grants to build them.
Meanwhile we have to subsidize the shit out of the oil to fuel the planes so that Americans can afford them.
Cars and planes are very socialistic forms of travel overall.

>Defending a shitty langsambahn

>America greatest country in the world
>fuck all other Americans though

Our biggest political donors are oil companies and the Koch Brothers who are also the biggest sellers of asphalt, which paves the road.
Good infrastructure would mean selling less oil.
$450 billion/yr on highways? Fine as long as it’s using oil and being paved with asphalt!
Even the roofs of American car-dependent houses are made out of asphalt shingles.

>hypermeme

It's the greatest country in the world because it supports extreme individualism

So it’s not a country at all then

Ah, I remember being 19...

Fuck you, I got mine.

Taxation is theft.

Sardinia and Sicily will never ever have high speed trains. Feels bad

Attached: 449.jpg (429x451, 21K)

What led you to believe cars are more individualistic?
You need the government to pave the road, subsidize the fuel for you, spend $250k on every traffic light, put up road signage, fill in potholes, police the roads, build the highways, it all adds up to being the most expensive form of travel for your tax dollars. In other words the most socialist. You’re also dependent on other drivers to be knowledgeable and safe and follow rules every time you get in your car. It’s outright Orwellian.
And don’t go thinking your gas tax paid for the road.

I'm 20 and I live in the sticks where none of my taxes are brought back into my community. Everything here is neglected and my tax money is spent on projects in the coast side of my state so i couldn't care less. Cut away all of my taxes, i don't see anything from it anyways
