You can still set up 6 secure nodes. When the hard fork happens, the rewards pool of secure nodes and super nodes will both be 10%, so there will be some balance between how many are on either for max profit.

Yes, there are already hosting services, check the otc channel in the discord. And yeah, you can encrypt wallets with a password, at least with the light wallet as far as I know.

There's no way that's from 35 nodes. The calculator has it at about .7-.8 Zen a day from that many nodes. I've had enough to make that amount, but couldn't be assed to set up 35+ nodes. Waiting on super nodes.

When are supernodes coming out? Do I keep the zen in Arizen or do I have to command line keep coins on the nodes wallet? Sorry for noob questions I could probably find in official documentation instead of asking strangers on a canadian yak shaving forum.

It's from 35 nodes. You probably have the wrong calculator. Right now a single node provides 0.0223 ZEN/day. On the 1-July fork that will be around 0.1 ZEN per node per day or more depending on the ratio of super nodes to nodes.

Somewhere in Q4. But you can already start staking and get rewards from July-1. The payouts will happen in Q4 once supernodes do go live.

They are only shuffling around the payouts, miners will get less while nodes get about 2.8x at the every least.
Would say that node holders would have a little more incentive to keep the payouts than miners who dump them on the open market.
There will be some sort of equilibrium where all combined reward payout meet the market demand and create a artificial price ceiling, but we aren't there yet.
ZenCash also looking to add other features to the network other than nodes to make people lock up Zen (for example P2P lending like ETHLend or Credit lending like MakerDAO)

Right now the payout tracker is centralized (12 servers I believe), so they have to compromise on efficiency a bit.
Payment tracker will move to super nodes in July, so then they will come in as minining rewards as soon the block is mined.

Yeah unfortunately network is pretty slow at the moment, no excuse for that. Scaling r&d should add nano like speed through DAG but obviously that does not help at all right now.

Not true. They have incentive nodes. And are working on creating a governance and treasury system with IOHk.
(the same governance scene will later be implemented into Cardano)

Along with IOHK they are also researching SPECTRE/PHANTOM DAG scaling (nano like transactions).
Then there is also ZenPub, ZenHide and ZenChat - Incomming dApps and a DAO to handle the treasury.

From the ground up it is a platform which is using ZK-Snarks and building ontop of it.

It is a first mover in the privacy platform space. It differs from Monero and ZCash in that it is not just a currency anymore, neither "just' a platform.

Masternodes =/= incentive network computation nodes

Masternodes are an entirely different scheme in terms of use case and features compared to secure and super nodes.

Honestly zk snarks is the least interesting thing about Zencash. The percentage of hidden transactions is low, among all privacy coins. Monero is the best for this because it's mandatory privacy.

Neither Zcash nor Monero have a way for holders to gain passive income, Zencash does in the form of secure and super nodes. And with today's pump, it's currently at rank 87 with a market cap of only $180mm. The potential to go to one of the top 20 coins is high, taking into account all of the stuff stated.
