What does Jow Forums think about the effect on clothes on your psyche?
>Be me >Wear comfy clothes >Athletic pants, t-shirts, sneakers >Have a $10 target watch >Look at myself in the mirror and feel like a beta child
I think success has a lot to do with how you carry yourself day to day, if I spend my days lounging around in sweat pants and jacking off, I'm down a road of failure
So Jow Forums, I want to look nice. I want to feel like I made it even if I havent yet, what brands and types of clothes should I wear?
just dress appropriately for the setting you're in, and the biggest contributor to that "beta child" feeling is wearing cheap accessories, so it's better to just not wear any accessories (watch, jewelry, whatevever) instead of wearing cheap shitty ones.
Personally I dress in no-name $10 sweatpants or shorts and a t-shirt whenever I'm at home. Same if I run to the grocery store or convenience store or some other mundane errand, I'm not going to dress nice if I'm doing chores or just meandering around.
I'll put on more expensive clothes if I'm going out with a date on the weekend, or for any other formal event like a party, business meeting, etc. depending on what's appropriate.
I consider myself reasonably successful financially and I'm completely content wearing cheap clothing 99% of the time

This is REAL advice. Just buy everything at H&M because big logos is corny. If you buy pants GET THEM TAILORED! Stop being a slouch and be presentable when you're out in public because it shows girls you're creative and you didn't settle to be an average joe
Angel Gray
I notice if I'm wearing expensive clothes I constantly preen and present myself like I'm some kind of fucking Vogue model and I'm expecting some kind of validation in the form of "OMG IS THAT A BAPE HOODIE?!?" etc.
But if I wear whatever is comfy, like head to toe knitwear I give 0 fucks and think far more logically and in-depth about situations.

but as far as what to wear to feel more motivated? Slim fit pants, clean shoes that are a darker shade than your pants (NEVER WEAR BROWN SHOES WITH BLACK PANTS) and whatever shirt you have around (not your fucking rick and morty T-shirt or and gay shit with large brand names, image logos are one thing, text is a fucking no) Also, if you're looking to get noticed, wear a bright colored hat that clashes with your outfit. People look at the head first and they will notice you in a crowd.

I wear disgusting clothes on purpose for a few reasons but mainly because I'm good looking in the face and want to balance it out back to neutral so I use that to offset it. It sounds ridiculous to type or even think that but people treat you differently, stare at you in public, approach you, etc. And I don't want to be approached.
I haven't washed my jeans that I wear everyday for maybe 5 months. I wear a uniform pretty much. I can't leave the house without my set uniform otherwise I become a nervous autistic mess, with voice cracks and trembles and whatever else.

>buy nicer clothes >end up going from beta child to tryhard beta
Owen Ramirez
Solid advice fellas, I appreciate your insight!
I'm definitely not talking about going to the supermarket in a tux and fedora
Problem is the money, I feel like when I'm at uni or out with my gf, everyone else has such nice stuff. They look like they took time in the morning to look like, and while I do the same thing, my tapered athletics pants and running shoes is really all I have giving me a feeling like I just got out of bed
I'll look into slim fitting pants for sure, maybe fitting shirts. Another big problem is half of my shirts are a size too big. I don't look like a manlet but it's definitely "dad" style shirts in the fact I have it a bit too loose and a little too long in the arms

Have to start somewhere
"took time in the morning to look nice"

Adidas joggers with the 3 stripes and shoes that match them make anyone look awesome. Pair that with a shirt that vaguely matches the same color scheme and you're in business.
Adrian Ortiz
youre still gonna come across as tryhard or you can start by not caring what other people think

Quality thread OP. I like to wear flannels or nicer dress shirts casually with the sleeves rolled up to my forearms. Sometimes with a shirt underneath and all buttons open, but sometime a just the dress shirt. Also wear Rockport boots. Really comfy and look cool. As long as you feel comfy, than your good though OP, forget the normans’ opinions of you and your clothes.

Seriously yall niggers wearing athletic pants ? Wtf dude. Just get some good jeans, and buy some good quality shirts. I think most of you guys are burgers so dont buy this cheap crap. Buy some shit that fits good. (personally im a fan of Balibaris, but if you look arround you can find some good quality shit) Go to a hair dresser and shave or at least maintain your face. JESUS WAS IT THAT FUCKING HARD. I figure most of you faggots are NEETs so yeah the problem is that you have a hard time spending the lunch money of your parents on yourself. And since you never leave the house you think: why should I spend money on that. Good luck being a incel forever faggots.

People who tend to wear brand names are the middle class.. rich ppl usually don't give a fck

I wear my work clothes all the time because I love to work and they put me in the mood to work. You can do anything in work clothes and not give a shit what happens because they are already beat up work clothes. I do not like to buy or wear "nice" clothes because they are overpriced and get ruined when you work in them. I understand that other people enjoy wearing and looking at nice clothes, but it doesn't really make sense to me. Nice thread OP

Brands don't matter, it's all manufactured by little Chinese kids anyway. Jeans and t-shirt or polo shirt for casual wear are all you need. Watches are more iffy, don't wear plastic shit. There are very good watches in the 300€ price range, no need to go all out. Shoes are important as well, good pair of sneakers will be fine for casual wear. You need to develop your own style though, or you will never feel comfortable. And don't wear tryhard dress shirts and shoes when the occasion does not call for it.
Adrian Jones
Jeans are uncomfortable and have terrible range of motion.

I buy weird, cheap shit on aliexpress, and usually I get compliments. It does go with my job though, since I promote a local weird bar.
I tend to look cheap, I don't take care of myself well because I work alot, but people tend to value the authenticity. I love my job and get to meet alot of crazy, interesting people, even if on the bad days I want to say fuck it and become an accountant.
Suppose what I'm saying is, dress to be the person you wanna be. Sounds stupid and obvious, but for me, it wasn't.

Just buy clothes in Spanish fast fashion stores like Springfield or Zara, but watch out they have loads (especially zara) of cringy clothes. I usually wear polo shirts from Springfield with jeans and my middle-shit 500usd doxa watch. On more special occasions I wear some nice brand polo shirt.
I really digg polo shirts, however watch out they look bad on not muscular people.

bring this into any /sig/ thread on Jow Forums (maybe Jow Forums too) and you will see most will agree with you.
Ian Moore
I kinda know that feel user. I also wear shitty clothes on purpose. Theres character in a daggy getup and good looking person that attracts certain kinds of people though, interesting people, so I dont mind.
Kevin Walker
Yes Never ever wear something with a huge brand or logo You are not a walking billboard.
> But I want people to know what brands I'm wearing That is a crucial point to fail in life.
If you want to look good in clothes HIT THE GYM! Nothing rocks more then a solid body to that fitted shirt. Cloths should fit, and if it fits to a scrawny stick or a deformed fat blob -> have fun getting your self esteem up.
The first and last thing you will here in the morning is AAAAAANU CHEEKI BREEKI IF DAMKE CYKA PUTIN VODKA

I mostly wear simple but expensive clothes. For me buying one very nice $300 shirt > buying ten $30 shirts. I don't have to worry about my clothes going out of fashion (because they are timeless) and I look nice without putting any effort into my outfits. Also, most women seem to prefer the simple clean look over goofy streetwear. In reality guys are only impressing other fuccbois with their yeezys and off-white sweatshirt.
Thomas Clark
i dont have much clothes. i usually just wear the same thing and never go anywhere where i need to look good. most of the time i dont even wear shoes
Liam Lee
Get it together, user. Your body pillow loves when you dress sharp.
Elijah Nelson
There are some that are stiff and limit your motions yes. There are also some that have a tiny bit of stretch stuff in it that feel like a second skin, seriously user. Im wearing a black levi's pants now and it is very comfy
Aiden Ramirez
I understand where you're coming from, my only answer is work out a lot and look good physically. It doesn't matter what you wear if you're physically in excellent condition, it shows evidence of effort and dedication that nice clothes and things can only project.
Get 2 x 10 kg dumbells and do a daily low effort work out/whenever you're feeling insecure.
Alexander Reed
Ah yes, it is though I am transformed into a more intellectual thoughtful version of myself. There is a true feeling of Ephoria when I place my fedora upon my skull, as though my blinders have been lifted and the world just makes complete sense. I do feel for the sheep who are caught in the rat race they call life, such a pity they should never know this power.
Comfy clothes, healthy skin, and being well washed help thinking good

I wear black oxford shirts, Tripp pants, and black work boots. I’m part of Generation twilight and true blood so girls like it. Being 6’5” and super skinny helps.
