Australian space agency

Why is it that the government gives 50 million dollars to the space agency and everyone loses their shit saying stupid crap like "why don't we fix problems here" when we give literally billions in foreign aid each year?

How about we take those billions and start competing with NASA instead?

seriously why do all of these countries deserve more money from us each year than our own space agency is getting?

Because we can't allow the racists to escape to the space.
Now take more boat people.

Foreign aid is codeword for neocolonies

Foreign aid doesn't just have to mean donations, it could mean investments you know, like the whole one belt one road thing that China is doing

aid isn't actually done for shits its a way of projecting influence

You know we just lock them up in prisons right?

I know, it is how we helped make south korea such a great place and a huge ally but still, why is anyone complaining about a measly 50 million going to the space agency?
what are they even going to do with that?
sure as shit aren't going to be launching many rockets.

*concentration camps

Corporations projecting influence with taxpayer money.

With foreign aid and better living standards the reproduction of nigs and nogs starts to slow down. So that you don't have then to waste money on shit like this

Don't you wish your government had the balls?

Obviously

we don't need to compete, let the burgers fund it with their tax dollars and we'll still end up reaping any technological benefits in the end without having needed to contribute

we still take plenty of them though, go for a walk in southwest sydney

>start competing with NASA
You mean work with NASA.

Foreign aid is mostly an attempt to control and manipulate poorer nations and keep them viable for western exploitation.

Those detention centres aren't something to be proud of, user. It's a fucking disgrace and violation of human rights.

australia is still empty, why space?

Heck yes that brings in tangible benefits whereas space agency benefits are nothing great. Imagine how many more customers we could export goods to if South East Asia was wealthy enough to afford it. There's 500 million potential customers living between us and China

We decided our country wasn't unliveable enough and we need a bigger challenge.

will you put the first emu to the space?

If you don't do it China will (they already do) and soon you'll have chinese military bases at your door.

yeah China invests so much in the pacific. Tonga has half its infrastructure built on a whole bunch of chink debt they're about to call in
