because they are stupid
we dont, rednecks are one of the laughingstocks of the country
It's a bizarre phenomenon indeed.
the media does to combat any ideology borne out of necesity
We romanticize country life, at least around half of us do (about a third are shitlibs who are bigoted against anyone with a southern accent unless they're black lol). That's not the same as poverty--the gdp/c ppp in every single US state is higher than that of the UK, includong WV and MS
They’re better than the urban poverty-stricken. No good ole boy is going to mug you outside 7/11
They will probably kill you in a drunk driving accident.
Yeah good job keeping that poverty under control, it's not like every sixth American receives food stamps or anything.
>Why do americans
About every 2nd Dutchman receives state subsidies for his healthcare insurance fee. It's not like in Europe our underclass isn't massively subsidized yet we point at the USA for handing out food stamps.
Not that hard to get foodstamps, and most who do are minorities who are exempt from being ridiculed as stupid rednecks by the yankee media and by extension the rest of the world
The average country boy lives extremely comfortably
Low ia
Nobody cares about your dumbass opinions, cletus.
I'm a shitlib and I have a southern accent myself, asshole.
Cletus is actually a pretty sophisticated name ignoring the yankee stereotype
Cletus is short for Anacletus, the third pope, and an anglicized version of kleitus, meaning splendid or famous, one of Alexander the Great's generals
Low iq
Hh
Lmao, how do you cope with being a lib but sounding like a redneck.
I care about his opinion.
t. Jebediah
Well go up north and tell people you like hunting and fried food and see what they say behind your back. A good plurality of yankees and west coast jews honestly hate you for having that accent.
Just because they are rural does not mean they are impoverished...
youtu.be
You fucks do the same
I don't sound redneck. My English is good and I'm from the city (Birmingham). I'm just a southern lefty. I have guns, too.
But not blacks or hispanics right?
I live on the west coast now and it's all good t b h. There are people from all over, here. I don't think the natives really love that, but they're used to it.
Just because you’re named after some rando from history doesn’t make you any less inbred, Napoleon.
The UK has a higher incest rate than the US, pkease redirect your yankee jatred there. They're the ones who hate you for your accent
>hello m'am my name be Cleetus and I'll be damned I luv me some fried chicken and huntin' deer m'am!
>wow how dare you assume my political stance !
I never did understand the "lol you Amerilards have foodstamps programs" argument from Europeans. It's not like America has a particularly large welfare state.
>this entire post
Most immigrants who arrived to the USA were poor European farmers

>About every 2nd Dutchman receives state subsidies for his healthcare insurance fee
So they fucking should. One of the jobs of the government is to ensure all people have access to healthcare and aren't completely fucked over by greedy multinational corporations. Your welfare is humane compared to the way Americans deal with the working class and working poor, which is to make them feel as though they are poor because they are bad people who deserve to be poor, because they are poor because they are bad people who deserve to be poor... Are you starting to understand the ideological propaganda at play here? This sort of shit in pounded into the heads of Americans, glorified by the ridiculous concept of the "American Dream".
My name is Christopher, as in a reference to Jesus from that infamous popular Middle Eastern death cult.
It's a silly name at the core of it but to make a big deal out of its etymological value as some bad of honour is beyond cringeworthy.
No we don't, we idealize the idea of "pueblos mágicos" as something to preserve, those are towns that essentially embody our culture.
I only recently learned about pueblos mágicos but I kinda want to see as many as possible now.
Hi leftypol
Please tell me about how the american dream is fake even though we have the strongest job market on earth and are a first world country and how the poor are demonized and spat on in the streets despite receiving medicaid, section 8 housing, affirmative action in schools and FAFSA, and countless charity donations
I wish I could live in a rural area. But impoverished towns suck. They lose their charm and the downtown is never comfy but always abandoned with shuttered buildings everywhere and all the young leave immediately. More often that's the case with the rural areas of my state ;_;
>badge of honor
you are a very emotional person I see
>American Dream
If by dream you mean waking nightmare.
Americans get bashed constantly for being obsessed is the weath, status, and materialism. Yet when a group of Americans rejects that idea and embraces the concept of happiness without wealth and being content in squalor you twats bash them too.
It's almost like Jow Forums's anti-American canards are hypocritical or something...
Do you need bf?
You seem to be unable to comprehend that there is a rural/urban divide across the entire planet but there is uniformity in European disdain for the US
No homo, friend.
Well of course 1 reason is the fact that many Americans very loudly voice their anti-welfare opinions and present the USA as a place free of any form of government assistances while they are there.
Another one is that a foodstamp doesn't exist over here, so it might confuse people and sound like a really silly and outdated solution.
It's just int. Americans are universally seen as 'cool' in Europe, we're much more extroverted and less neurotic on average, and this is especially true of our relatively rich tourist population.
Sorry kid, but dreams are for people under 18
is this niBBa wearing an amulet of glory?
Most of Europe likes the US. It's just that our televisions air a lot of stuff about how crazy Americans are, it's a really popular subject over here to have Louis Theroux or Micheal Moore documentaries about some crazy US cult or very angry rednecks and then people are convinced the whole country is a gigantic looney bin.
I legitimately don’t know.
And I live in the part of the country that does it the most.
Sounds like we’re not the only ones brainwashed by our media.
>shitlibs
Cringe!!!
Latinos commit the most DUI in the country
People want to feel superior I suppose. More often than not they air good stories about bad countries and bad stories about good countries. Maybe it's coordinated, maybe nobodys is interested to hear about how good life is in New Zealand but shit like "death and despair in the Rustbelt" "Liverpool's teen mothers" are just very popular subjects on our tv.
I find this hard to believe, nowadays more than ever
Oh ours is even worse, I imagine. It’s nearly impossible to be constantly bombarded with particular stories and not have it twist your perception.
If you ask a general American how many police shooting of unarmed people occur every year, they’ll guess thousands to tens of thousand, despite the number being about 450.
99% of Europe has never met an American in person they are most likely very interested rather than angry or something.
I think you take Jow Forums too serious. Going to America is seen as something cool and people from all layers of society have different things they like about the country. Progressives like cities such as NYC and San Francisco while rural people love the big cars and machinery.
>I think you take Jow Forums too serious
I think I'm taking anecdotes too seriously
>not romanticizing this
that has nothing to do with rural poverty user
I guarantee the owner of that is loaded.
>we're much more extroverted and less neurotic on average
Most people in Europe find these traits incredibly annoying in people.
Fucking Florida, man. Worst state in the union.
>growing up poor in Florida is the same as growing up poor somewhere beautiful and comfy
lots of farmers aren't loaded
Lots of farmers also don't own idealistic cabins in mountain valleys that they visit once a year
Try coming west sometime faggot, i took this pic a few weeks ago
Freedom you stupid liberal kike
>The average country boy lives extremely comfortably
Yes, with social assistance.
>American wants to live materialist city existence
>Why are Amerisharts so shallow and stupid? Don't you know there's more to living outside apartments, shopping, and corporate jobs?! Here in Europe we live humble lives in the villages of our ancestors.
>American wants to live country life
>Stupid fucking Amerimutt, why are you so braindead? Don't you know the countryside is backwards and poor? Only stupid people would want that life. Here in Europe we live in our cities, where people are educated and wealthy.
What the fuck is their problem?
Fucking jealous assholes have no meaning to their lives
I live in the West you faggot, I took this picture an hour and a half from where I live
Bro, if you live there, you know what a ‘lived in” ranch house looks like. Nobody lives in this year around.
>lots of farmers aren't loaded
That's a new construction hobby ranch in Jackson Holy; there's no way that was less than seven figures.
how can you not see something romantic about living in that? People romanticize the city for the same reason
Because there's nothing romantic about dipshit transplants coming in and mucking up the place for their "dream lives"
It's not just the transplants that romanticize the country, i do it too. Romanticism isn't something for people who are foreign to it, even farmers can romanticize the farmer lifestyle.
What's your point
People shouldn't make fun of people who romanticize the country and people shouldn't make fun of people for romanticizing the city. Look at both perspectives and see that people like different things. Also don't make the assumption that city people are fags and country people are rednecks.
t. fag redneck
You're making a lot of stupid assumptions yourself
damn you got me
like what
Assuming that I care
You sure owned and trolled those shitlibs with nothing but facts and logic
I thought everyone does it?
Rural stuff is nice, or at least seems so if you're from a city.
Trailer Park Boys is looking good
>the whole country is a gigantic looney bin.
The USA is much worse than that. Also, I don't believe you. I am pretty sure more of EU has more pro-Americunt BS than noble anti-Americunt stuff. Who is paying you to spread positive perception of this vile, despicable country full of ignoramuses?
>Company invest in safty equipment to meat regulations and lower rates of worker injury
>HeYAMerICaxD
we unfortunately do in media
and yet we laugh at rednecks, too
I wish that the former would stop
*Cleto Alvarez
>meat
We do?
That's mostly because the media is concentrated in California and NYC and they have a snob disliking of people outside California and NYC.
Are Southerners the Perth of America? Basically everyone in Perth has a chip on their shoulders about the cosmopolitan east coast cities (melbourne and sydney) while we just view perth as poor dumb bogans
They seem poor but happy.
