Metro works like a charm (except during peak hours). The rest is a waking nightmare. And most of them are managed by the gov't so you know it will be expensive and shitty as fuck.

While I love the freedom of travel granted by having a car, it's a bitch to own one sometimes. It's a money drain and a pain in the ass to drive in winter. I plan on moving to a big city once I graduate, and it'll be nice to walk to places sometimes.
