Why do British people get really angry when we boil water in the microwave?
It's not like it changes the flavor or anything and is faster
Are they just brainwashed by the electric kettle industry?

I put my pitcher in the broiler
There's a Brazilian guy at my work who does this and we talk about him behind his back
What, you microwave water, why don't you use kettles?
Okay so don't superheat it and just boil it like a normal person
It's not just us who laugh at you for this, it's most of the world.
Why the fuck would I buy a kettle and have to store it somewhere for the one time a year I drink tea?
Coffee ?
Why would I boil water before I put it in the coffee maker?
>not boiling water on a good ol' gas stove
You should always put your trust in the hands of an experienced veteran
I think Americans don't use instant coffee
You guys don’t have this?
No idea why
Personally i want to see as many americans as possible get burn marks
Dont americans drink coffee out of styrofoam buckets with around two granules of coffee diluted in at least a litre of hot water ?
I don't get angry I just think it's hilarious
This is a Ameribear tier post.
Water is superheated in a microwave as a function of how a microwave oven cooks.
this guy knows what's up
american electrical supply is half that of europe, so water tikes over twice as long to boil (kettles are very inefficient in the first place)
because it's like shitting in a bathtub because you don't have a sink, it doesn't make any fucking sense
protip: no one actually boils water in the microwave, it's all memes and you all bite on it
No, that's just those shitty free coffee machines that every office has and no one drinks because it's nasty.
We usually use a Keurig or coffee machine that drips hot water though a coffee filter. People that like coffee will use a French press (which you microwave the water for)
Then how come this has never happened in the thousands of times I've boiled water in the microwave?
It usually requires distilled water and a perfectly smooth container from what I'm aware. It has nothing to do with the microwave
>In the US, 7% of people drink instant coffee. In the UK, 77% do
Holy shit, they actually drink nasty ass instant coffee?
I use my stove. If I want hot water, but not boiling hot (rarely), I use the microwave.
I've got a kettle, too, as I love fresh-brewed tea, plus restaurants around here have picked up on fresh brewed tea in the past several years - we're loving the stuff, but most people wait for it to cool, I tell the waiters, "bonus points if the tea is piping hot."
Only benders drink coffee here.
I drink coffee sometimes for the sake of caffeine. I don’t care bout the taste. Don’t get me started with pills, I don’t always have a caffeine pill ready when I need one.
We brew shitty folgers coffee instead
Speak for yourself nigga. Quality matters to some people.
I have my own drip style coffee maker at home which I make and enjoy. But when I’m in my office knowing that I’m gonna be staying there till late, I’ll need a little boost from instant coffee there.
Yeah that's fair. I wouldn't bother bringing my own shit to work either.
So you don't have delicious nescafé over there?
>folgers
>quality
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA GET A LOAD OF THIS GUY
Re-read that you retard.
Might have seen it at a store once, never known anyone to actually drink it.
We usually just get it a Starbucks or Dunkn' on the way to work or use ground coffee either in a can or from fresh beans at the grocery store
>fresh beans at the grocery store
What stores still do that?
Every one I know of.
