Why don't companies hire solely based on I.Q? I'd much rather have someone that's right out of HS with a 130 I.Q vs a normalfag UNI graduate that just partied the whole time and as a 115 I.Q. It doesn't make sense to me that corporations care about how you look, dress, or if you have "connections" just hire based off of I.Q, profits would increase, and you could have younger workers if you just hire high I.Q people right out of HS.
Why don't companies hire solely based on I.Q? I'd much rather have someone that's right out of HS with a 130 I...
Hugo Boss makes excellent dress shoes FYI
Lol wanna be wagie
Nazis where gentlemen and had great style..
I have had this same thought for a long time. Seriously just hire based on IQ, instead we have a load of bullshit with interviews, work history etc.
I don't want to be a wagie, I've never had a job and I don't plan on it.
Because nobody wants to deal with autism, or have some lonely virgin shoots up the place.
Because having a high IQ doesn't guarantee that you will be a good employee? Same goes for any other indicator: education, social skills, past work experience etc. Hiring someone solely because they have a high IQ is just as retarded as hiring someone solely because they went to a good university.
A lot of companies actually do use problem solving tests. Especially for executives.
It's funny how college has been doing this for decades and literally no one takes issue. Your SAT correlates with IQ score (r=0.9 roughly).
I've actually bullshitted my way through a number of interviews solely because of verbal IQ, despite being a literal NEET. Unfortunately most places still have archaic hiring process and want that 200k piece of toilet paper.
Ideally you'd want to know conscientiousness as well. Mine is extremely low and I will almost certainly never accomplish anything beyond mediocrity because of this
Are you serious or trolling?
If I am going to hire a salesman to shill my products, I'm not going to hire the guy with no degree cause a test says he's "smart"
I'm going to hire the charismatic frat-bro who has a business degree, cause I know he can put four years of continuous effort in to achieve a goal. Charisma and tenacity make a salesman not an IQ test.
You hire based on who best fits the job, and that takes into account a large variety of factors.
Experience in the same or similar field is desirable as well. For that very reason, I was asked to start management training after 4 weeks at my new job. My IQ is probably 115-120, so nothing to write home about, but those two factors together allowed me to excel and adapt in a new enviroment. I also have high levels of conscientiousness.
They used to do "personality tests" when I still wagecucked. They don't anymore?
As a person with 129IQ i second this, gib free opportunity REEEEEEEEEEEE
Goebbels had a IQ estimated at 125-150. Good candidate for my new Jew kissing program " basically we just go around and kiss random Jews and each kiss you get paid!!!!, what's you say maa boy, wana give it a go 6 Deutsche marks a kiss"
>Why don't companies hire solely based on I.Q?
Because it has nothing to do with how someone will perform their job. You must be low IQ and have little or no work experience to think otherwise.
>wagecuck based on iq
Thought high iq was suppose to mean something user. Guess not.
Our lord and saviour!
OP's the type of trash that even though he is born as either "white", "male", "smart" or some other generally desirable attribute, still ended up being a failure that has achieved nothing. He thinks he is owed his money, status, and fame simply because he as been born with some advantages.
Can they use these same tests for executives in government jobs.
They still do for govt jobs
They do lmao
College is an IQ test
Technical interview is an IQ test
You just have to jump through the hoops
IQ is important, but so are looks, sociability, cooperativeness, etc. I think you know where I'm going with this. They're looking for the complete package. Though, having a baseline IQ requirement would already be better compared to the completely illogical 'diversity' quota.
Companies used to do this, because there was/is a direct relationship between IQ and job performance. However pre-employment IQ screening was outlawed when it was discovered that black people have vastly below-average intelligence, as a group, and thus couldn't get a job.
Anyone with sufficiently high IQ would know that high IQ cannot be the benchmark for hiring.
the brutal reality is that employers dont want smartasses working for them. they much prefer middling plodders who dont think too much and will diligently plod ahead without thinking they can do it better. who wants a smartass who will learn everything leave and set up themselves in competition?
The SAT is an IQ test, so in the US you already have that.
No one wants you "I have an extremely high IQ but I am lazy" fucks in their company. If I were to believe Jow Forums everyone has an IQ of over 130, and just look what a bunch of fuck ups 80% of you lot are.
IQ means little, so you have some ability to solve abstract puzzles? How well will you do in a meeting?
Hire 130 IQ aspie out of highschool.
>Ok Tim this is a big contract for us we need to close this deal.
>Weak handshake.
>Looking at the floor while talking softly.
>Sperg out during presentation.
>Sits in a corner during business lunch.
>Fails at conversations.
Gee should I hire that person or chad with actual social skills and connections?
This isn't true. The market literally chose IQ until it was outlawed.
OP seems to have never had a job before.
It isn't about your IQ, a small IQ person has the skills you don't and that's enough.
most intellectual work in society is done by a minority (1 in 1 million) of geniuses
most people in the 110 to 150 iq range are useless to society
when you hire someone in a white collar position, you're not looking for actual work ability but for someone you get along with
110 iq brainlets outnumber 130 iq tards
My IQ is 139, but I heard IQ is a meme. It's either all bullshit and I'm actually an idiot or LINK will make me a millionaire. Time will tell.
The SAT is only for colleges to look at, companies don't really look at your SAT score. Also the SAT isn't exactly the same as an I.Q test, they're just highly correlated with each other.
In most high-end jobs you gotta pass logic tests, you also have to know the technicals of the field you are gonna work in but you also need to get along with your colleagues and the way the company works. If you are smart but don't fit in you'll be useless.
It's basically an IQ test, that's why the high correlation. It was designed from the bottom up to be an IQ test, that's why it was implemented, to scout for talent all over the US.
the design is really good but the leather is bad
This, I'm a boss and I absolutely do not want high IQ working for me as they are a threat to me. I want people who can obey what I say, and when they lack I correct with my enormous talent.
In my experience if you have a worker with some kind of ambition they will be machievellian as fuck,
In America, such practices were actually banned because niggers were getting disproportionately passed over due to lower average IQ scores. This is the result of Griggs v. Duke Power.
this
hard working + average IQ > high IQ + lazy
