In 1956, Clement Atlee came to India for a visit to Kolkata and Chief Justice P. B. Chakrabarty met him at Governor's palace. There, Chakrabarty asked him the reason why the British left in such a tearing hurry in spite of the terrible failure of Quit India Movement and also in spite of winning World War II. Atlee's reply was that Subash Chandra Bose and INA's activities had weakened the British. When Chakrabarty asked about the role Gandhi’s non-violence struggle had played in the final decision of the British, “Atlee’s face twisted into a sarcastic smile and spelled out the words M-I-N-I-M-A-L.”
Netaji did NOT go to Taiwan in 1945. He was flown in a Mitsubishi bomber by the Japanese to Japan, from where a Russian speaking Japanese General accompanied him to Manchuria. From there, they travelled to Omsk city, Siberia, where Azad Hind Fauj had an embassy. Did you know this? The Japanese Kempeitai (military police) came up with the Taiwan air crash story as a deceptive cover so that the Brits wouldn’t be after them. This is latest research. Citations would not be available currently. But I can assure you that this will be a fact in the future.
A few of Netaji’s messages, broadcasted from the Omsk embassy were recorded as late as February 1946. The Brits picked up hint, unfortunately, and with all the evidence, went to Stalin and told him how Netaji had asked for help from Hitler, who was Stalin’s arch-enemy, and requested Stalin to allow them to “interrogate” Netaji, where he was tortured to death

The British main policy when it comes to foreign doctrine is to always maintain the balance of power in mainland Europe. If any one nation (France or Germany for example) then they could strongarm Britain. Colonies were a secondary objective

The man who gave india independence maybe died in soviet gulags yet indians considered Soviets their ally
>Colonies were a secondary objective this level of coping

Wrong for India. They were the only colony which made a profit.

Well he got his training paid in ns germany so ofc he got blotted out of the western mind as this would blur the borders of good and bad guys.

I think he probably befriended the Soviets . I mean he was seen in Tashkent too, 20 years later. And he was too intelligent to get caught. And his original plan was to ally with the Soviets, which he changed because British allied with them. And considering after war Stalin became an enemy of US/UK and put their soldiers in his gulags, I think he wouldn't have sent Bose to gulags
