What would buying BitTorrent really... do? I understand there's the old Bram Cohen company, but afaik it's all open source, not many people use the "official BitTorrent client", and competitors don't have to pay it anything. It would almost be more symbolic than anything else... or is there any other reason I'm not getting? Sure, they have an audience, but most torrent users aren't really that interested in paying for virtual stuff, so it's not like they would start buying pocketfuls of Tron anyway.
