what is norway like?
What is norway like?
Expensive, cold, lots of NPCs, highly socialistic, far too many immigrants, but beautiful nature.
expensive
They take Vodka like a gold standard.
You can fucking buy a car with it there.
Mountains. Wooden houses. Wooden everything. Wooden people. Oil. Many oil. Wooden ships. Mountains. Rivers. Niggers. Money.
hell on earth. I wish I was turkish instead
Do you mean swedish?
Expensive as fuck.
Only reasonable way to travel there is cruise ship, because one day in hotel somewhere in Norway will cost more than when whole cruise.
25 USD for a pizza made by turks. 10 USD is the cheapest price for a beer.
fuck off, we are full
how much is it in sweden?
Suits blasting heroin inbetween their toes on the beaches of Oslo since it's basically legal.
6 USD for pizza and 4 USD for beer.
I went to Oslo a few years ago and paid £9 for a pint of beer. I'm still traumatized.
Wtf
Why is fucking expensive?
10 dollars for pizza made by norwegians
4 usd for cheapest 0.5l beer in pubs.
Because in those cold and dark hellholes people often doesn't have anything besides booze.
Do you have different prices for Swedes?
whys everything so expensive in cuckdinavia?
No, you just went to an expensive restuarant is all. Shouldn't have done that.
What the price of beer in markets?
Right now it's cold, there's a gale blowing, and it's dark like the ass of a Sudanese chimney sweep, and it's gonna stay that way until March next year.
14 USD for 3 liter of beer.
sadly not
We have high taxes to pay for our big public sector and alcohol has extra taxes for public health. About 30% of the workforce works in the public sector.
Thank god I'm a muslim
Only morons are muslims tho.
Bluepilled
>30%
What the fuck do they even do? We are at around 15% and our government already has armies of worthless trash doing fuck all
You live in shithole
>About 30% of the workforce works in the public sector.
Yikes.
Is Uni "free" in Sweden? I know it is in Norway.
Post the view from your window
Russians are so cute.
I just want to kill all of you
They have nice roads
No they don't. Their road system is pretty awful for a country with their levels of development.
great mountains
fjords and other great lanscapes
We could have nicer roads, but we really don't need it so the politicians won't add more money to that side of the public budget.
Wow. What a shithole. We had +18 and sun.
are there Fjords in Siberia?
Чтo зa гopoд?
We get paid for going to uni. 3k SEK a month and can get another 5k SEK in a cheap loan if we want. We also get housing allowance from the state if we move out from our parents when we study.
Mostly to municipalities who have to take care of children, old people, immigrants, drug users, the disabled and also run most schools. Healthcare is run by regions which is a big part too. The state has over 300 authorities, some big corporations and policing etc.
>that flag
>that post
Dont even think about it, Ekrem.
They have it all
>We get paid for going to uni. 3k SEK a month and can get another 5k SEK in a cheap loan if we want.
what le fug?
paid to study?
Jesus....
maybe it wasn't such a good idea to spout all of those Sverige! Yes! memes
You don't get paid to study?
We had the same until 2 years ago, but our based neo-liberal government cut all the free money but gave nothing in return so everyone is worse off now.
w-why
As if a dutch pavement princess can ever comprehend the cost of keeping all our roads in top condition, with the size and terrain we have compared to our sparse population.
Wow we are surprisingly low on the list, wouldn't have expected this.
Only Blacks and Native Americans, and it's not like they're paid to study, they just have tuition fees waived.
Brazil has no gibs bro... it's Brazil after all. A shithole.
Well, your Unis are still free if you're an European citizen right? and salaries are high in Dutchland right? You guys are pretty rich, last I bothered checking.
>We are at around 15% and our government already has armies of worthless trash doing fuck all
We have below 10% and they still do fuck all. Gov = Do fuck all.
I'd have expected Greece to be much higher on that list...
They used to be 60% or so but have no money left
That's after the crisis.
Everything about Norway is just super comfy except for O*lo. The thing i miss the most when i'm out traveling is the comfiness, i love it here.
What do women do in Germany? In Sweden they all work in the public sector.
what city or where exactly is this place in the picture. It looks really cozy.
Because our government practically hand out free money to poor families so there isn't really any lower class in Norway. Everyone is rich so the prices matches the average income. Also the government put taxes on alcohol and sugar to avoid obesity and alcoholism.
bullshit bait story
Never mind I figured out that it's Bergen.
If I wasn't such a autist about preserving ones culture and staying in his country of origin, I'd move to Norway
You don't get paid enough to actually live unless you take a student loan though.
Fun fact, Sweden has some of the highest student loans in the world despite education being totally free. Because unless you happen to have rich parents who live next to the university, you are forced to take a loan.
this is how I picture it
This, the comfiness is so great.
I have my crab pots, my boat, my guns, my nets, my seven close friends with their boats and guns and tractors, my little vegetable garden, my cast iron cookware, and I'm fine.
If I'm ever leaving the country- no scratch that, if I'm ever going south of the Arctic Circle, it'll be for business or to throw up.
what kind of guns can you own in Norway?
it's a shithole, don't come here
i'm actually serious
I only use mine for hunting, so I've got three bolt action and one lever action rifle, and one semi-auto shotgun. I could get a semi-auto rifle if I cared for it, but they don't really appeal to me - Ammo is pretty expensive. I reload a great deal of the ammo for my centrefire rifles, and shoot about 3000-80000 rounds of .22LR, 1000 each of .308 and 6.5x55, maybe 2000 of 12 gauge, around 500-700 of .45-70 and like 500 of .17 HMR throughout the year. I'm saving up for an elephant gun next - All of my calibres, possibly excepting the .45-70, are very mildly recoiling, and I've been wanting an elephant gun for a while. Either a .460 Weatherby Magnum or something crazy big like a .585 Nyati or one of the Nitro Express cartridges, and maybe another shotgun or two.
*3000-8000
Would that I had the time and economy to shoot 80 000 rounds a year, though.
woah that's pretty nice, had no idea you could own rifles in Norway.
What kind of loicense do you need? Or is it like Burgerland where you just walk into Walmart and leave with a Benelli ?
What animals do you hunt?
Do you use the fur or just eat them?
Come to Hedmark. It's the real Norway.
>What kind of license do you need
Hoo boy, there are a few different kinds. The one I've got, the hunting license, is one of the easiest to get - You take a theoretical test and get to try shooting a rifle and a shotgun, and whoop de doo, you're good. You're then good to own six guns (Soon to be eight) without any other reason than "hunting".
You then send the applications for the calibres you want to the police to get them approved. Once they're approved, you get them back, and you can just take them with you into the nearest sporting goods store, hand it to the clerk, and waltz out with a gun. Private sales are a little more cumbersome, but work well enough.
I live a bit away from everywhere, but there's geese, ducks, seals, cormorant and (don't tell nobody) puffins.
Those are the ones I eat, and I've been wanting to do something with seal fur, but I somehow haven't gotten around to that yet.
I also shoot pest animals, like feral cats, rats, ravens and crows.
When I'm somewhere central, I try my darndest to network with old folks, that I might get a spot on a moose or deer hunt, or find someone with enough land to hunt foxes.
I'd also love to have a few hounds to go bird hunting with, but I'm fairly busy most of the time, and they really wouldn't have anywhere to train here.
Now, hunting really isn't something you can earn money on. Sure, if you just shoot everything you see and eat that instead of buying meat at the store, you save some money, but if you're anything like me, you wind up using that money on more guns or junk to put on your guns, haha.
>I also shoot pest animals, like feral cats
Since when where cats considered pests in Norway? Is that even legal?
They are pests even here in the states, although most people wouldn't initially think so if you asked them.
They are really bad for the environment. Many people don't realize how much damage a cat can do, how much disease and parasites cats can spread until they start growing their own food or being engaged in a wild animal conservation.
I work for the local municipality, we don't do much. Read and write reports sometimes. Last week I spent teo days drinking coffee, talking to coworkers etc. nothing productive
cold
They're pests because some blithering retards keep feeding them, so they just multiply like rabbits and piss fucking everywhere. Animal Services comes once a year to take out a good chunk out of the population, but in the mean time I just shoot or trap the ones that wander in on my property, my father's or uncle's property, anywhere else people want to get rid of them, and the areas around my workplace.
If you're upset, please cool your jets for a moment and consider the fact that I have never shot a cat with a collar or a purebred cat, but rather street mix cats, often deformed from inbreeding.
The only illegal thing happening here is that the people who feed them don't take them to the vet for the necessary vaccines, don't get them fixed, and don't do anything to help them aside from feeding them.
Again, it's not like you'll one day wake up to a loud CRACK and an evil cackling laugh as I run through your garden and leave the collar and what few gory bits remain of your dear British Longhair, Mittens, on your doorstep after blowing it up with a screaming fast VMax bullet because I hate cats more than my old mate Rodney Rude. It takes all of one complaint about me hunting or shooting somewhere without the landowner's permission, and the popo take my gats. I'm not about to let that happen.
is also right - spreading parasites, harassing proper tame pet cats and preying on birds are their chief misdeeds.
Where in Norway do you live m8? (just a general area/north/south etc)
All of that sounds pretty cool - how long have you been hunting?
What kind of caliber do you need to bring down a Moose? Were you ever hurt while hurting?
Have you ever found a bear while hunting?
I know in Canada they eat bear meat, have you eaten it?
This sounds so amazing, wish I could do it.
