Not more dialects, native African French speakers are rare, most learn it as a second language to use as a lingua frinca to either interact with Africans who have another native African language, or to use in economic relations with France and the EU. Thus, many learn really "textbook" French, for example the DRC doesn't learn Belgium's French, but France's one. If you pay attention you can see a few varieties: Maghrebins sound very different than Subsaharans ofc, and Abidjan IIRC has the largest number of native French speakers in Africa, thus they sound very well.

Like the way education is done in Africa it's pretty hard since there is barring a few places literally no integration of native languages into the curriculum or education in the style Europe with the gradual introduction of foreign languages for education.

user there's already African languages that are used as local lingua franca. Here's the big problem African kids are speaking their mother languages then thrown into school where they have to learn a new language out of nowhere, teachers crackdown and abuse kids who use their own language in many cases and the fucking TEACHER isn't fluent in the language of education. It basically fucks them into being worse off then students who learn shit in their own toungues.

Better yet why not a curriculum that is in multiple languages? You say tribal conflict but yet Cameroon is fighting civil war over French and fucking English. they are fighting over a language that's not even their own, that's pathetic!.

Hell there's plenty of papers showing how the current state of African language education is failing it's kids and damaging local languages. Hell in Uganda there's famileis that send their kdis to school and the come back speaking English but completely forge how o speak to heir parents.
