HOW THE FUCK DOES THIS HAVE A MARKET CAP OF $153 BILLION?

HOW THE FUCK DOES THIS HAVE A MARKET CAP OF $153 BILLION?

They stream movies and don't run advertisements. How in the hell is this possible?

Attached: netflix.jpg (1140x700, 46K)

undervalued imo

comcast pls go

Because cable is 90% ads nowadays and people are sick of it.

Because people think it will replace cable along with Amazon Prime.

That doesn't explain how a service that essentially produces nothing can be worth 153 billion fucking dollars.

Vibehub will be next vr/ar Netflix

I use Netflix and I swear to god its a shit platform. It's not the UI, it's the crap they put on it but normies love Netflix series. They make their money by placed ads (someone drinking coca-cola with very obvious camera close-up). They have little disclaimers in the top left at the start of their house movies and series that tell you so. I was wondering the same thing at first but then I saw that and it makes sense.

because millennials.

everyone is missing OP's question:
how does it generate revenue

monthly subscription fees you fucking retard

oh yeah lol

Wall Street believes it will grow so large and have enough exclusive content that people will be willing to pay $20+ month plus additional ways to nickle and dime consumers when they are a monopoly.

The market cap stocks have is equivalent to all the future profits wall street thinks the company will have.

Netflix loses money
A lot of it
Look at their free cash flow

120mil users paying $10 a month and growing

Yet Bitcoin does, right? lmao

Bitcoin isn't a for profit company. It is a currency like the US dollar.

they produce entertainmet that people pay for via subscriptions and they place ads in their series and movies they produce. Unless you know the exact figures you can't comment at all on this you retard.
Bitcoin isn't a fucking company nor does it produce losses/profit, only investors and traders do that. Holy fucking shit whats up with the idiot infestation lately? I'm in 3 threads where clueless morons are asking the most basic of questions.

Market caps are equal to the risk-adjusted discounted value of all future profits.

yeah that's what I meant, but 99% of people on Jow Forums don't know what that means.

Pay per month and selling user data. How do you think Twitter stays a float?

>hurr durr I can't math

125 million users averaged on the standard plan of $10.99/month = $1.37 Billion in gross revenue per month or $16.44 Billion year. That's before a single cent is spent on any operating expenses, taxes, etc.

If Netflix was liquidated tomorrow what exactly would it's creditors get? A bunch of servers? Does that justify a 150 billion fucking dollar valuation?

No, it doesn't. Now fuck off.

hype

boomer investors

Cuz muh freemarkets aren’t really free. Nflx has higher valuation than Disney and Comcast. Tsla has higher valuation than ford. Both companies don’t really merit their valuation but trick the common pleb that it does because of half truth memes like cord cutting and electric cars or smart cars or some other rbuzz word meme.

The reality is the big banks prop and inflate these companies to bubblicious prices and will leave the common pleb holding the bag for 10-15 years.

Finn Wolfhard’s fanbase.

But you get weed deceiminalization and even legal but companies struggle for 50x pe which is average for Nasdaq which is absurd. Rofl...marijuana can take on tobacco, chronic pain and seizures and depression which are billion dollar industries each, plus alcohol but companies struggle for 50x pe? What a joke.

Or cryptocurrency which can replace fiat and be its own transnational global payment with 24/7 trading with no holidays but mm mmm, no no no they bitconnect it

Every normie has a Netflix account. There are a lot of normies.

Why do people pay for sex with prostitutes?
Nothing is being produced.

speculators think their 'big data' collection is far more valuable than it actually is. see also: every other tech company with a confusingly high valuation.
big data is a bubble

>big data is a bubble

Agreed. This is not sustainable.

I wish Jow Forums had more noncrypto threads

Liquidation? Maybe relevant for bond holders, share holders don't get shit.

It's all about future cash flows for equity investors

Thats actually a legitimate sale though.

>200 dollars for 30 minutes
>but you so strong and manly you can last super long
>guy lasts about 5 minutes including undressing, cleaning his dick off, girl showering

Sounds like price gouging to me

Stop buying avocado you stupid millennials. Don't you want to get ahead of the property market? You'll never get ahead if you keep buying avocados.

>What is speculation?

underrated

wow you’re a retard. Very very sad
two retards rubbing dicks

if bonds are impaired then equity is a zero. Kill yourself

what is a fucking market cap you dumb nigger?

spotted the 23 y/o boomer

Subscriptions are an indication of ongoing future cashflow, also the company has very low overhead compared to a movie studio, theater chain, or cable television company.
It can't be anymore simple to answer.

Whether that valuation is justified depends on your faith in Netflix keeping and enticing more subscribers.
