I'm thinking of switching but the whole Torvalds thing is a downer
You could try a UNIX based distro then, like Solaris.
I am using Ubuntu 18.10 right now.
Is it really that better than 18.04?
I mean it's updated. Better? Sure in my opinion.
Huh. Didn't think we were anywhere close being anything but pure white.
Better map
I heard they added fingerprint support, can you confirm?
I use Ubuntu in some servers but I'm mostly in the RedHat side of the force. Fedora for desktops, RH/Centos for servers.
It says cheap laptops mostly. Also UEFI and Ubuntu it's like asking for trouble. That shit was conceived for Windows 10.
I don't know, I run it on my old desktop computer. I don't see it in the settings or anything so I would guess not. Could be wrong if you installed on laptop maybe
So most software developers are in Germany on the continent. Probably best salaries are there too. Then some larping cocks write garbage here that they make 3500eur a month from IT in Romania and they don't pay taxes because they are registered in Estonia despite the fact income tax there would be 21%. While most devs here barely make 800eur however they are income tax exempt for a decade from the time of registration. After that it's 3% income tax.
Getting as bad as Windows. Bet it's buggy af too.
Ubuntu in my experience is the one distro that 'just werks' but I can increase my productivity by using the terminal and configure things that I can't on windows.
With the whole CoC thing, I wouldn't be surprised if we see if a decent fork of Linux in the near future, but unless you have severe autism, BSD is not suitable as a daily driver.
>3% income tax
So what's the fastest way to become Romanian?
They're using fucking snaps for everything now, and that's how Windows do stuff. Just copying libraries needed over and over again.
Gay marriage to a local.
Due to the nature of our platform, we release updates more than daily which admittedly can be annoying for our users to constantly update.
Therefore, having them done seamlessly in the background makes life for our users so much easier. It’s great to see snaps as the first serious attempt to try and unify the community.
Okay fuck this shit. Will stay away from it.
Thx
>tfw despite being a fairly big noob when it comes to Linux I've had far less issues running Arch than I have Ubuntu
I don't even really need to use it for anything since I don't rice or customize shit, I pretty much only have it because I love the Aur.
What's your point?
Source?
>Denmark
Much redder than i would have thought.
There's a lot using Ubuntu in Denmark, and other distros, i'm just surprised that we're that far in front (based on the colour depth)
Not really, that map seems to be based on total number of installations or users. The one in OPs i know is relative to country size.
I am diagnosing who has autism here as well as who is an unemployed underage virgin.
Im stuck with it because i started my pc build with ubuntu and it is not user friendly so selling my pc build will be a pain and installing windows 10 free is a pain
Merci Pierre
Only technicians and engineers use it here
