Is true Europeans don’t have dryers?
Is true Europeans don’t have dryers?
Stupid shit consuming an enormous amount of electricity for nothing
We do, but dryers ruin clothes, I prefer let them dry on my balcony when I have time
We use these ones
We have a thing called sun
we do, but we haven't used it in years
Most of us don't, but as far as I know they're more common in Ireland and in the UK than in the mainland.
UK is a disgrace
it's true, we use the microwave instead.
Most spaniards don't
>imagine if your weather is so shitty that it always rains/ its always dark and you need that thing do dry your clothes LMAO
We have this and the sun
i do cause i'm not a poorfag
>hurr why don't britbongs just dry their clothes outside on their rainy little island
Kill yourself, brainlet.
I have one in my flat
>let's buy an expensive machine and spend hundreds of kwh a year accomplishing something that occurs for free if you simply hang your shit on a laundry rack or clothesline
no a dryer license is too expensive
All washing machines here have a built in dryer.
It's weaker and lacks the heat gun, but gets most of the moisture out and then you go for this thing Nobody here uses a dedicated dried.
I've seen those en Europe laundries though.
Was pretty useful for a traveler, but definitely a waste to have one at home.
>twnk the bliss that is a warm pair of undies on a cold winter morning
The random dryer license inspector visits are a nightmare.
in general you guys are just more terrible
>dryers ruin clothes
did your grandma tell you that? modern dryers don't
but you're a fag
>This confuses the American specimen
cry some more poorfag
>All washing machines here have a built in dryer.
>all
like what kind? nanomachines?
I'd just burn down my house with the lint
what is this? do you have to wave it at the clothes manually?
>washing machine is a rotating cylinder with water and washing agents running through it
>dryer is a rotating cylinder with heat running through it
>YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY COMBINE THE TWO
I have one and it's honestly one of the best things I've bought. I had some shitty old washer but when it broke down I got a nice fancy washer-dryer combo machine. It's the fucking best thing every invented.
>hanging clothes
Enjoy your smelly clothes in winter.
>but power
My bill barely increased from $40 to $50 during winter. Now, with a warmer climate in September my bill was barely $5 more than it was in the past year.
>ruins clothes
Only if you let them for hours in full heat, 1hr medium-heat is enough to dry most clothes. Only jeans and towels take 2hr to dry.
>when a german explains how washing and ""heating"" can be made more efficient and mechanized
>tfw jealous but you have some of the highest electricity prices in the world
It wears down your clothes.
not saying it is not possible it just sounds like a compromise to save space. i was just surprised that ALL machines are like that
also
>digits
Yeah, we have a ch radiatiors in a bathroom for that.
Of course it's a compromise to save space (and money). And the guy probably meant generally when he said all.
they're shit only boomers have them generally and richer young people. they shrink certain clothes and cost a fucking fortune. but our washing machines don't leave clothes drenched anyway. we use
inside in front of open window or radiator or fireplace and washing lines outside most of the time.
Not everyone has huge houses with garages like Americans.
i only use this one + good old mother sun
cost nothing
dryers use to much electricity
Here the washing machine also dries and then we place the clothes outside for a while so they completely dry.
I have one from the previous owner of my flat but I only use it when I need to dry some stuff really fast (which is at most once a month).
They ruin clothes in the sense that repetitive washing and drying wears down the fabric, it usually depends on the quality of the clothing and how many times it has gone through the cleaning process.
I have one but I use it for anything besides clothing, shit like towels and bed sheets.
This is nostalgic, my parents have one. I only use these kind of stuff
Convincing argument you have there.
We usually have washing lines as well as dryers.
thank you for using australian technology
That's the obsessed Danish Pajeet, ignore him.
>We have a thing called sun
Not as much as the US
Based
really? that is new to me.
thx for that australia :)
So it's dangerous?
>washing lines
Drying lines would make sense, clothes lines is an okay name, but washing lines? Really?
Even more nonsensical for you guys to use dryers then.
only if you let go
Dryers generally come with houses and they’re cheap over here. Is electricity just more expensive in European countries or something? The cost of a dryer is barely notworthy.
my clothes always feel more comfortable when I dry them. also it takes out the wrinkles
>Even more nonsensical for you guys to use dryers then.
Clotheslines are associated with poverty here, though I've seen a few of these things here and there
Generally in my area the weather is far to erratic to rely on sun drying, since even when the sun is out a mile and shining away where you are can have a downpour of sunshower rain.
I have a tumble dryer but I never use it, I prefer to leave my clothes on the washing line or radiators
Yes.
So not doing the sensible thing is okay because doing the sensible thing is associated with poverty? How did a nation whose behaviors and priorities make so little sense become so powerful in the first place?
I use the basic function of the washing machine so the clothes aren't soaking wet, then just wait half a day for it to dry all the way on a rack? Do I need a second sitting orangutan-sized machine in my house? Why? What do I get out of it vs losing that space?
I think its like when you buy diamond rings and shit like that. Useless garbage you were propagandized to want but don't really need.
i recognize that fence. are you that fat german from youtube whose house is being attacked all the time?
>i recognize that fence
you have shit eyes
>that american dude who traveled all the way to germany to meet him but got denied
I use two of these and after a good night sleep the majority of the clothes are dry, only big things like bed sheets, jeans and sweaters take a bit longer.
It really doesn’t take up any space at all you europoors, virtually everyone has a little alcove somewhere in their house where the washer and drier are packed next to each other, in my case it’s a closet sized room.
They are necessary here, especially in the winter, because it's always cloudy and/or raining where I live. But I can't see the point of them in places like Italy or Spain where you can dry washing outside in 30 minutes.
best thing was then he said he wants to sell his home for at least 500.000€
we have 10 months of summer/spring, do we really need it?
Hanging clothes out to dry takes more than an hour unless its an unusually hot and dry day
t. Californian
Can't dry clothes in the winter
Yeah well, we have top loading washing machines usually, therefore the dryer would take up an entirely seperate 2x2 ft space, and we don't live in 3000 sqft plywood warehouses.
Uh ohhhh! Looks like you need to wear wet clothes today!!! Looks like you can't dry today!!!
Oh no, an entire hour! That's entirely unbearable for the developed world!
>So not doing the sensible thing is okay
Dryers are more sensible, rather than having to pin up each piece of laundry on a outside clothesline (and making sure you checked the weather so that you don't get them soaked by rain) and sitting around for hours for it to dry you can just take wet clothes out of the wash, transfer them to the dryer right next to the wash, press a button and have dry clothes in an hour.
this is true.
Mind you, this is the state that has 10 days of rain per year and has sunshine all day everyday. In cloudy cold Europe that turns into multiple hours.
No, I have a dryer and I don't know a single person who doesn't have one. Maybe REALLY poor people I guess
I've had shitty t-shirts for 10 years that have been through a dryer every week, and the fabric didn't get worn down or the colors faded.
>you can't possibly put a clothes rack inside
you can
russians in siberia do this nonstop
>therefore the dryer would take up an entirely seperate 2x2 ft space
so you don't have a 2x2 space for a dryer, but you do have space for a retarded laundry carousel like this?
I was being sarcastic. You have to be -exceptionally- idiotic to prop up an hour of drying time into a lifechanging problem when dark, wet Europeans can handle putting their clothes on a rack just fine.
Do many spiders nest in them?
That's outside, you fucking clown. And inside clothes racks are portable and stow away when not in use, much like an ironing board. Or do you have a separate ironing board room, too?
>when dark, wet Europeans can handle putting their clothes on a rack just fine.
Christ no one is saying you can't figure it out, we're just saying its an unnecessary inconvenience to have to go through in the 21st century.
>Or do you have a separate ironing board room, too?
Actually a dryer makes ironing unnecessary unless you're dealing with expensive and high-quality clothes like a button suitshirt or suit jacket.
And we're saying a dryer is unnecessarily wasteful both in costs and energy expended.
you know, i've seen houses in a worse condition in the LA area that would sell for millions. it all depends on the location. he is in bavaria, right? i would guess land is not cheap there? unless it is a bumfuck village away from major cities.
I don't think so
Do yuros really act smug about displaying their laundry to the world because they can't afford the electricity to run a dryer?
you can, it works really good. you just shake the ice off and the clothes are dry
>And we're saying a dryer is unnecessarily wasteful both in costs and energy expended.
I really don't give a shit considering that a dryer is usually included with an apartment here anyway (and even if you do have to buy when for your house or something its only like 400 dollars) and our electricity costs are much lower than yours.
Of course they do. Where do you think tbey store their shoes at night?
>unless it is a bumfuck village away from major cities.
that is the case, he lives in a small town with less then 42 people.
And I guess global warming is a Chinese lie to strip you of your life standards, am I right?
>wrinkles
its still a machine that guzzles electricity and breaks down. Meanwhile you can just throw shit on a rack. What is the upside to the expensive garbage you're shilling besides not waiting 6 hours? Its not like I'm short on things to wear, are you?
Also my washer fucking dances from time to time, no way I'm putting anything of value atop of that.
>And I guess global warming is a Chinese lie to strip you of your life standards, am I right?
Actually where I live global warming will raise my life standards by leading to shorter winters and a longer growing season. Soon northern New England will be the new economic epicenter of the US once Jew York drowns. SO I think I'll stick to my racist oppressive drying machine
I'm sure it doesn't I tried it
>What is the upside to the expensive garbage you're shilling besides not waiting 6 hours
Not having to wait 6 hours is a pretty big
>Accudry
>Wrinkle Shield
Americans sure love their fancy brand names, don't they?
