At least the prospect of things improving exists if nothing else to prevent you from falling into total despair and familial relations are usually closer. I know I'm incredibly privileged to even have enough money to be able to buy something like a video game every week and be given the opportunity to study if I wanted to but between work, studying, health issues and acute loneliness life isn't very enjoyable at all. well alright, that's debatable. first of all, everyone have their problems, no one is saying you don't. having something to fight for increases one's chance of living a happy life. not a life free of stress, just not enough to say you're overall happy. the problem starts when you don't have the apparatus to do what you need to do. I'm not saying money and access to a life standard equals to happiness, but they certainly make it easier for one to achieve its goals. which brings happiness. until a certain point, as shown by the graphic. I guess a perfect life doesn't exist, but being poor isn't the answer to anything. a tiny dose of reality every now and then is.
