yes. it honestly makes me feel unintelligent as fuck

i've never heard you speak

only the third-worlders are impressive

It's the default world language, so yes and no.

Yes desu

You ARE unintelligent as fuck though

i know.

rude

Yes! I always feel honored when someone wants to practice their English on me

Not really, every Euro from Jow Forums I've ever talked to on discord or somewhere has a very thick accent.

'twas but a quip, my good lad

shut up you uncultured boor

A lot of foreigners in this country speak English very well actually. In fact, they probably speak the language a lot better than actual English people. Or at least working class people.

skämtar du med meg? ni låter så yankor. pmsl.

Honestly, since a lot of conversations comprise of slang or idioms. Any few English words put together sounds knowledgeable to me.

All foreigners that I've met all talk correct Traditional English.

Yanks think they speak English it's really simplified English. With odd spelling and backwards renaming.

pretty dumb post.

Scandinavians and the Dutch speak better English than 95% of Amerishartinmarts.

Surely you mean "" the north "".

How is it ?

Not really, considering that even if a lot of you have perfect grammar and great vocabulary, you guys often word things in an awkward way.
>Are you impressed by how well us foreigners speak your language?
As an example, I would say "we foreigners" here.

I dated this bilingual girl for a while (English and Cantonese, learned both growing up) and even in her I definitely noticed some awkward wording. That's entirely an anecdote though.

I'm not a commie or anything. Here in Portugal we sure as fuck could use with some more free-market, but the cunts I've met/interviewed from the US are peak-capitalism better-at-selling-than-doing imbeciles.

Your top 1% of engineers are inarguably brilliant, but 99% of your engineers are dumb as bricks, and it's going to cost you in ~40 years time.

English is a mongrelized language already and has gone through tons of reorganization over the centuries and is full of inconsistencies. If anything webster removed a lot of french shit in vocabulary. Simplified? Sure? Apart from removing meme letters and pronouncing things a little different there is virtually no difference. As far as correct and incorrect well, that's like thinking north korean is correct and south korean isn't. Makes no sense.

mongrelised*
reorganisation*

Not really, it's extremely easy to learn any language when a school forced you to do so at a very young age, though you and the Netherlands tend to speak the best of a non native country

oooo gottem! owned me, epic style

I live in the midlands, and most people here are terrible as well. They sound like the football lad parody.

Geez, other countries have their versions of English as well, you don't need to constantly shit on ours. Hell, we still use 17 century English words you guys don't even use anymore.

What does your post have to do with free market?

Not really, when you consider that the language originated and developed in and around England. And was exported to the US (and people) and became very much distinct then traditional English. Most people I know can't stand you're accents, naming, and spelling. Mostly accents. German's speak better English then most American's. The only place I can think of that speaks the same'ish way as you is Japan and parts of Asia.

im le shit tho, send aussie gf so i can learn.

I don't think you can say it's working class.

yes it makes me feel stupid

>Not really, when you consider that the language originated and developed in and around England.
suuure but it didn't exactly start there. It borrowed a little bit from everything. English has changed a whole lot from the days of the first king of the anglos or whatever.
>Most people I know can't stand you're accents, naming, and spelling.
Maybe it's because you're British? Obviously. Dumb anecdote desu. Only the English sperg about this.
>Mostly accents.
That quite literally can't be avoided.
>German's speak better English then most American's.
Speak better? Huh?
>The only place I can think of that speaks the same'ish way as you is Japan and parts of Asia.
Makes no sense.

Like I said, dumb post. Based off of subjective feelings of superiority. No wonder the colonists rebelled against your asses.

this is a meme though their english on the whole is fairly good but nowhere near what Jow Forums makes it out to me

embarrassing post

>tfw no bimbo sheila gf
WHY FUCKING LIVE

>meet cousin's welsh husband
>he says I speak english with an American accent while her wife speaks with a Brazilian one
>mfw she's been living in the UK for 5 years and I've never even left Brazil

Your "non-odd" spelling just shows how much you've been cucked by the French m8

>cucked
theyv been enriched

>it's extremely easy to learn any language when a school forced you to do so at a very young age
i don't know about the rest of the world but here we don't have mandatory english classes until middle school. it's really basic english and everyone forgets everything during the summer anyway so it's useless. your post only applies to richfags.

This is why i dont join voicechat with foreigners so much, i sound awful and my nassal voice doesnt help :(
We are taught british english in spain, i believe most of europe gets the brit version

>tfw in spain ppl learn english since age 8 but theres barely any progress since normies dont give a shit and the actual ppl interested are years ahead the actual class

if you dont speak english often you have a strong accent. but it gets better quite quickly when surrounded by native speakers. then you hit a wall and getting rid of the last bit of accent takes years or never happens.

Unless somebody becomes fully integrated into a native speaking society for a really long time from a young age you'll be able to tell they're a non-native speaker basically instantly. Not that anybody who isn't super old cars anymore though
