I tried to read a warning on sunscreen in car in deutsch and dutch and they was significantly different

in the late middle ages, the dukes of burgundy united 17 areas which was to be called the netherlands. meaning the low lands.
later the netherlands became part of spain but declared independence after the king of spain didn't allow the dutch to be protestant. and that is why you are a country

It's not a real country and neither are you, we should be part of Germany.

we tried to, but they wouldn't let us.

>Following the loss, Christian IX went behind the backs of the Danish government to contact the Prussians, offering that the whole of Denmark could join the German confederation, if Denmark could stay united with Schleswig and Holstein. This proposal was rejected by Bismarck, who feared that the ethnic strife in Schleswig between Danes and Germans would then stay unresolved. Christian IX's negotiations were not publicly known until published in the 2010 book Dommedag Als by Tom Buk-Swienty, who had been given access to the royal archives by Queen Margrethe II.[10]

It's the other way around. We are not Germans. But there are some Germans that are Dutch.

thing is, the German Confederation (which collapsed in 1866 after the Austro-Prussian War) was what it's called, a confederation of independent states, not a centralized state. This is what Denmark then would've joined. Bismarck however wanted to unite Germany in a centralized state, and the first step towards that was the North German Confederation, which he founded after the Austrian defeat of 1866, and which, despite its name, was an actual unified state (and the precursor of the German Empire which was founded in 1871). So my guess is that with Denmark in the German confederation, it might've been harder for Bismarck/Prussia to pull this off, and Denmark might've even sided with Austria to regain its independence in the 1866 war. Diplomatically, Bismarck really knew what he was doing, so I'm assuming it was the right move.

>making France white again by granting an occupation zone to the Italians

Join us, your cousins from Normandie.
France is comfy for Nordics, and we have overseas territories all over the globe, so Denmark (and the Feroe and Groenland) wouldn't be that strange.

As long as Belgium exists, there will always be a gap between meme tier and the dutch.

Nah nigga if you speak English and German you can pretty much work out the meaning of like half of everything someone says in Dutch. (Source: I speak English and German)

>If you autists agreed on splitting Wallonia and Flanders we wouldn't be having this problem

What? public declarations were, France would support whatever decisions the Belgians would make, and there was some talk about Wallonia considering to join France post-independance, which would require a referendum in France but, according to polls, would be agreed on.

They don't want us...
