Slightly related I once had a Brit approach me in Ostend. He claimed that he was drunk the day before and that his wife kicked him out of the car and went to england with his wallet. He was asking if there was a ferry. He was simultaneously completely desperate and positively hammered. Hope he turned out alright. This was the only time a Brit has ever approached me.
