All white except for one poo and two blacks, 8 kids died in a drunk driving accident. I was mostly shy and unknown in high school but I had three people that I could call best friends, I knew all of them since elementary school. We also used to do things like take a milk bag from the cafeteria and hide it in an empty locker, bluetooth our phones to the library projector and play Moonman, shit like that.

Not a joke. What would happen is that due to some gang shit that happened out of school, people would organize a "war" with another race. kids would then spread this news around before lunch. Then when lunch came everybody would act natural until everyone was finally in the courtyard, then the two races would run at each other from all directions and start fighting

I think the difference between us is that our viets came from the north, as a part of commie brotherhood. They dont really integrate too much and viet boomers usually slave away in small shops and fast food stalls and then save all money for their kids education. Went to public boarding school here. There was barbed wire fencing, curfews, marching drills, PT, hazing, homosex. It's like joining the army or going to prison. Luckily, the school was co-ed so I managed to snag a girlfriend. Who I dumped when I left the school. 2 years after that, she called my house and my fucking dad picked up the phone (this was 1999). She was crying and told my dad to say goodbye to me because she is getting into an arranged marriage. I already had another girlfriend at that point but I did felt some remorse. My dad thought that I was breaking up with my then current girlfriend.

I think there were maybe one or two brownies in the entire high school and rest were white. That's life in first world

It was an odd period. In secondary school, I finally made a break from being an autistic outcast. But it wasn't easy. I was very insecure, and preoccupied with the way other people looked t me. It translated into mercenary behaviour. I did things things just to get a break, to improve the way others looked at me. I didn't cause harm, I just looked at relations instrumentally. I've also had a bad relationship, and all this didn't help it. But I overcame, in the end. I grew. The only thing left is that I am still uncomfortable discussing interests I don't consider widely 'socially accepted', even if I want to.
My Weltanschauung was very negative and unfounded back then. I am embarrassed of it. I went through a period of reaction on it, which was also unfounded and quite embarrassing. But I suppose I recognised the mistakes. I am fine now.
I stayed with a circle of friends I met in secondary school. They're fine people. And these days I'm a healthy, well-rounded person. I am happy. But, looking back, it took effort, and many mistakes.
I guess it gots to be accepted, that what? That life is hectic.

My school was pretty nice. It was mostly upper-middle-class white suburban people but there was a solid section of blue-collar families and minorities. It wasn’t totally segregated by income/race or anything.
Everybody went to the football games on Friday nights and the football players were nice and funny dudes. I don’t know why TV portrays athletes as assholes, I was weird as shit and football players were my friends.
I still hang out with a few of the black people from highschool.

I grew up rural and went to a nearby town for highschool. It was about 90% white with most non-whites being stuck in lower levels of education which had their own building.
Most kids were from lower and middle class since our region was extremely poor. But it was alright. I had a great time and very good results.

Mostly Polish as you can imagine, one girl was half Lebanese or someting and we had one Vietnamese guy. high school was pretty great in retrospect, I used to have much more friends then. I came close to being expelled a few ties because of japes me and my friends would do. I'll tell you about the gretest one. in Polish school student body elects every year a student president, the person is responisble for communication between teachers and principal and students etc. we put forward a made up candidate, and almost every student was in on the joke, but the teachers literally didn't notice that the guy isn't a student and in fact doesn't exist, not even the head teacher of a class the candidate was supposedly from. the made up guy actually fucking won the elections, so we got another friend from a different school to attent the event and give a speech to students, all while being dressed like a hippie. good times.

The few other white kids tended to be kind of weird and mostly kept to themselves, but I made friends with a lot of hispanic kids easily for some reason (my family are russian immigrants, so I think they found me more relatable than the other whites? idk). One of the weird white kids actually got expelled for threatening to shoot up the school lol

In general, it was pretty fun. My friends and I dicked around a lot, and my grades were absolute shit because I put in zero effort and cut class almost as much as I showed up, but it certainly wasn't a negative experience.

My school had only half Korean boy in my grade.

I went to a private high school because my mother wanted an environment fit to handle precocious students because I was 2 years ahead. But it wasnt all that special in its handling, it felt rather normal except that you had more annoying rich kids than usual.
But compared to a middle school where my difference in age and maturity was really obvious and led to some isolation/bullying, people in high school were a lot more laid back about things and left people alone generally (except for the one dickhead who still behaves like a middle schooler), and I made my best friends there whom I still interact daily with. So overall I had a really good experience in high school after the bad time I had in middle school.

When I was in year 8 I was doing year 10 shit and by the time the selective course ended we had finished the curriculum so I breezed through the next few years and most people I knew smashed the HSC (exam to decide your uni).

Where did it all go wrong

I went to an almost all black middle school, with about a third of the classes being latino. There were only three or four white kids in the entire grade, but I was slighter lighter than most of the latinos, so I got called "white" and bullied for it. Everyone was retarded and we were one of the worst schools in the area (imagine a toned-down version of one of those stereotypical inner-city schools from a movie). I was bullied a lot and had three friends (one fellow CHI, one Honduran, and one white girl).
But then I got into a really selective, rich high school, where everyone was either white or asian and now I felt out of place for the opposite reason. I didn't get bullied anymore but no one wanted to be friends with me. It was (being an almost all upper-middle class white and asian school) a super liberal (in the US sense) school. The whole student body was catatonic when Trump won. The kids were overall pretty nice, even though they were a little snobby. I made some good friends, but it took a while.
The only other CHI was this retarded girl who would always blame the teachers for being racist when they gave her bad grades for being a dumbass. She got suspended for coming to class high once (I don't know how she didn't get expelled).
