>still stuck in the 90s culturally
That's what most people love about Tokyo.
Hong Kong and its millennial bullshit disgusts me.
>tfw im such a fucking nerd that ive literally got a page bookmarked thats about places from the movie lost in translation to visit in tokyo in 2018 because i love that movie so much
>The infrastructure still looks like it’s from the 70s
I don't know what you mean but we need to drive prices up to fix old infrastructure?
why u still in tokyo?
I thought u went back.
>The infrastructures look old waaa why
because they are ?
It's like comparing the Russian subway and the Korean subway; yeah Korea's one look more modern but it's simply because it was made after duh
>we have 1usd sushi/3usd beef bowl /4usd lunch set
hong kong/london/new york/zurich are much more expensive
Capital cities always seem expensive to non-locals. Really, the only expensive thing is rent, the rest is just knowing where and when to buy certain things.
I don't know about Tokyo in particular, but I would imagine it's the same.
What's so expensive about Tokyo when it's compared to Hong Kong?
Don't like Japan? Then don't come to Japan
It's just so easy
can i come?
why would you go to a worse country than yours?
it's funny, the Japanese like old technology
DVD players still sell well, 720p tv's, ancient phones, etc
The prices of Japan is much lower than ones of Belgium
So I'm sure when you can come to Japan, you'll be able to enjoy Japan
they still widely use fax too
just like Americans still use cheques, don't have free money transfer between accounts or have a data cap.
Hasn't it occured to you that he formed his view after arriving in Japan?
why change what is working ? their metro system work on window 95 or some old shit and its one the most efficient in the world
Wrong faggot. The most efficient public transport on earth is Swiss. Suck a dick you kike

just like muricans use pounds and gallons or whatever, which was something invented by UK during medieval times and not even them use it anymore.
You still use archaic knowledge
Nothing but rich jews there
Tokyo is the london of asia
>Extremelly overrated

Don't they teach you how to read in niggeria?
>i can't afford to live in Roppongi, fucking Tokyo
Live in Futakoshinchi, yoga or Sakurashimmachi you dumb chink in denial.
Airbnb before the regulations was super cheap, it's still is in some places.
The food is cheap too, you can manage a nice trip with 500usd, not counting the stay and flight, and you will eat well and enjoy the city. You can even avoid the JR pass and just get a Suica and charge it with money to travel, and even buy stuff from vending machines.
The most expensive part for me, is the flight, that's it
>The most expensive part for me, is the flight, that's it
How much did you pay? I've 5 flight tickets these last 3 years, I pay between 1000 and 1200 USD.
I've bought*
not overpriced. im poor but not really bothered about it. probably the average food prices are cheaper than in rural areas. it only costs when you go to shitty shopping areas for middle aged hags and rich chinks like ginza, roppongi, etc or live in yamanote area.
I paid one at the start of the year when I went in April at like 1000usd
Now the same flight is 2000usd, it fucking sucks but Japan is worth it
Thanks my nigga.
I just looked on AirBnb and most of the listing were fucking shit. I saw hostels for fucking $800 a month. The rest of the listings were over $1000, and not even in the center of Tokyo
Should I just stay in a business hotel?
Airbnb is kinda shitty now, but still better than hotels.
Another alternative are Capsule Hotels, you can find really nice ones, with lots of comfy stuff.
maybe you'll be lucky and your plane to tokyo will crash in the ocean
Check Bamboo House bamboo-house.com their Nishi Nippori apartment is the best.
Google "air hotel" or "iriya guest house", first time I went to Tokyo I paid 400 dollars for a month.
>Hong Kong and its millennial bullshit disgusts me.
It's the future mate.
Learn to make money off them or stay poor?
We got $3 chopped cheese and baconeggandcheeseonaroll in nyc bruh.
i'm convinced the "oof tokyo so expensive" meme is perpetuated by westerners looking for the kinds of 2000 sqft houses they're accustomed to
>still stuck in the 90s culturally
it's all because of aging society
