If nguyen didn't win, why are you all named nguyen?

Because the Nguyens were our last dynasty so we changed our surnames to Nguyen to appease them

Because Nguyen return and beat Tay Son after that with French help

I believe a warlord period amounts to a prolonged civil war in a de jure country between many factions which consist mostly of strongmen desiring mostly regional power with at least one of them reuniting the country eventually(or the region gets conquered by an outside power)

Last one was the domestic war of '45.

“Muh heritage muthafucka”

Dubs checked.

We have one now. The 50 states and 6 territories are united in name only.

Well we dont really have that then , unless you count these kingdoms as the successors to Britannia?

I think the War of the Roses would be a better example, than the pentarchy.

I’m from Ethiopia, we had our own little version of the sengoku called the Zemene Mesafint

Its an American VPN

Thats a civil war rather than a warlord period though?
