Aren't alps taller (and maybe thus better for skiing)?
t. know nothing of mountains.
Do the Pyrenees have the holy mountain? No? That answers the question
I've never seen a picture of a comfy looking village in the pyrenees. I've never heard of anyone going there to ski or even going there to visit.
None of these pyrenees pictures seem to have mountains with a tree line so I'm guessing they arent that tall.
Nah, the alps are more popular because they are closer to more countries, the pyrenees are only a thing for the french and the spanish while all central europe is close to the alps. Still both are more or less the same thing with the alps being as you've said taller. Same goes for the scandinavian mountains.
They have several holy mountains for each people (Basques, Catalans, etc)
Pic related, the so called "sacred mountain of the Catalans, the Canigó, in the background
I invite you to my town, I'll show you why the Alps are the best place in the world
They reach 3400m I think, it's higher than anything else than the Alps in Europe, unless you count the Caucasus
I work in the Alps during winter tho, in Savoy
I still prefer the Pyrenees because they are less full of ski stations and feel wilder in many places than the Alps
that is not correct
>I still prefer the Pyrenees because they are less full of ski stations and feel wilder in many places than the Alps
It seems this answers the question then. Most peopel seem to prefer touristic ski places to wilderness and mountain adventures.
IMAGINE not living in a country that has both
Oh wait that's right, there is only France
There may be holy mountains there, but not THE holy mountain
Both are qt, no point in arguing which one is the most since both are very similar
By the way I mean when I compare the French Pyrenees to the French Alps
The French side is renowned for its world class ski ressort, otherwise I'm aware it's much bigger than the Pyrenees so obviously there are also wilderness areas in the Alps
yours are barely alps, slav
I've been shilling for the Pyrenees the entire thread but I can never not post this weird mountain in the French pre-Alps
>I still prefer the Pyrenees because they are less full of ski stations
There's a ton of them though, are the alps even worst?

Damn must feel good chilling up there, how long do you think it owuld take the government to act and kick me the fuck off if i built a hut up there?
Yeah I know there are also a lot in the Pyrenees, I didn't mean the mountains are pristine, after all it's Europe and outside Scandinavia finding proper wilderness is a real challenge
But overall I found it was easier to get away from civilization in the Pyrenees than the Alps, to find places where you didn't see a single ski lift or electrical equipment in the background, and proper silence
That being said I've only visited rather busy parts of the French Pyrenees, and work in a major ski station in Savoy 5 months a year so I don't really associate the Alps with quieteness in my mind
>That being said I've only visited rather busy parts of the French Pyrenees
Fuck I meant of the French Alps
Pretty fucking fast I reckon, but there might be a way to buy land on top in which case you'd be rightfully home
Here's another nice "lost world" feel one
Accepting that the Carpathians are superior to both is the final redpill.
Wish I could visit, I've been talking about muh wilderness and as far as I know the Carpathians are still preserved, for now at least
Sorry but there's no competition
Please stop telling people about the Pyrenees.
Show me your best drones bro.
Yes there is
>lower
>warmer
>further away
>further away
Was invading France just a plan to have the Pyrenees within your borders
Really, the alps are just so much better
Alps are way better for skiing
No, I'm pretty sure it had to do with world domination. Invading France didn't put the Pyrenees any closer to me. It's about the travel time and expense. Driving six or seven hours to the Alps is bad enough.
I can understand considering them better, but not "so much better" as if the Pyrenees were just shitty hills
That being said it's a good thing, less tourists here
Triglav > Matterhorn
Did you know that the alps can be seen from the pyrenees at a distance of 381km?

Because that's where Europe ends and Africa starts.
