wiki says the architectes denied that it doesn't have elevators, they just haven't been assembled because that pile of shit has been seized and it's unfinished.

I'd rather post good looking buildings.

I took me 3 minutes or so when I went there when it there the year it opened. But I didn't go to the top but rather the observation deck (floor 127 or something, don't quit remember). However they did say that the escalator is supposed to be exceptionally fast.

Burgers aren't that creative. They just use drones and missiles.

Doesn't look ugly. Looks like a "what if skyscrapers used traditional designs rather than glass" kinda thing.

I like that building. It's brutal and beautiful.

OP said post ugly buildings, but you've posted very good looking buildings.

russophiles

Too hard for them. Burger "patriots" today are borderline illiterate yokels.

but this is cool af

im just a proud geordie

It looked good the first few seconds, but it got uglier the more I watched it.

Don't diss the Walkie Talkie. It's a cool building.

Was that designed in tetris ?

It most certainly is not

This piece of shit was the tallest building in the middle east when it was complited in 1965

Attached: PICT1198.jpg (400x300, 26K)

... and the nice building they ruined to build the monster

Attached: Herzliya Hebrew Gymnasium.jpg (408x185, 16K)

It is. Go fuck yourself.

I guess its a neat idea, but its abject of beauty. The architect has deliberately tried to be as modern as possible and veer away from traditional architecture types, hence the lack of straight edges and abundance of glass paneling

Thats actually pretty cool but so out of place

Attached: merk2.jpg (600x742, 103K)

looks ok

Yeah but this broken chinese screen

Attached: IMG_0707-1240x664.jpg (1240x664, 166K)

Grow up dude gothic was cool in the middle ages.

>implying its not "cool" anymore
>implying architectures purpose it to look "cool"

Gothic architecture is still very cool.
Pic related, a major tourist attraction. Especially with the asians who wish to see a perfect example of European Architecture

how do you even enter the house

Fucking love it.

Like it.

Hate it.

Just bomb Düsseldorf again, maybe this time they'll fill in the gaps with something less tasteless.

this should be considered a crime against humanity, what the fuck

Im not saying we should start building things in past architectural styles, just that Modern Architecture sucks lol

I assume the entrance is on the opposite side
Or maybe its part of the 2 houses under

Attached: imgp7902.jpg (800x600, 123K)

Jesus, conservator really hated this building or something? How this was allowed to be build?

It's supposed to be a statement on the cruelty of war since the building houses a museum of military history.

In my mind the Jewish celebrity architect simply wanted to punish us though.

pleb

I'm not going to say it's the best looking building in the world, but it's not the worst either. It looks fine in my opinion. There are much worse examples of shitty modern architecture.

polish butthurt the post

Jesus Christ I fucking hate Brutalism.

In fact I just looked up Brutalism and found pic related which is a building in London. I think this is possibly the most ugly building I have ever seen.

If you want a British building that's ACTUALLY ugly, look at picture related.

The Walkie Talkie is VASTLY superior to this concrete shithole in every single conceivable way.

t. Butthurt Castilian

La Sagrada Familia is a fucking great building.

Attached: Trellick_Tower2.jpg (1521x1959, 647K)

My town just built this at a cost of over $20 million, much of it tax funded. It looks like they couldn't decide between 5 building materials and 10 different windows so they just said fuck it and used them all randomly.

I think of all the shit ITT, this is the worst. That fucking spoiled cream color having nothing to do with the spike, whose dark part looks like a fucking skid mark. It’s offensively bad.

Attached: 1531609998768.jpg (1024x683, 102K)

It would be a shame if a wandering plane accidently hit those two towers..

Urban planners seem to love architecture that adds tons of colorful but useless ornaments that have absolutely no structural or functional purpose.

When (if) it's finished it will be one of the coolest buildings in the world

bloody hell

so is pic related, also in brum

Attached: Selfridges_Building,_Birmingham_(2012).jpg (1200x764, 287K)

that just needs some pretty cladding to neaten it up

form over function

This is architecture that not only doesn't attract people, but actually drives them away, both in the grand scheme and on the street level. Almost American.

99% of those kitschy buildings were built in 90s right after communism.

Royal Ontario Museum

Typical German who wants to live in factory hall.

*hate

Nah, I'm just saying. Neither the yellow sphere nor the blue lightning bolts do ANYTHING other than visually clutter the construction. There's good looking simplicity, there's good looking complexity (pic related), and then there's terrible clutter for no good reason. It all depends on whether the entirety of the structure coherently manages to transmit a positive emotion or impression, and how it relates to its surroundings.
