Sneaker Reselling

Have any of you guys looked into this? Lots of profit to be made compared to crypto
Pic related, its my buddy who is really into this stuff. apparently, these shoes are like a grand each

Attached: DaSit2LVAAENU_8.jpg (2048x1536, 490K)

where do you get them cheap

Basically, My pal buys them for $200 dollars a piece off of the nike website when it drops. He ends up buying hundreds of pairs of these shoes to make the maximum profit.

You're about 10 years too late unless you have some serious connections. I used to do this, until it got oversaturated with cringe flipper kiddies

just buy the fakes

>implying you wouldn't get caught, called out, and doxxed

Attached: 13211784.gif (300x300, 2.67M)

Did you just call me broke with $3500 in a paypal account? kek, I think I put more on some shitcoin like SKY

>implying you arent selling to subhumans

wtf why was pic deleted. what was it

>what is HODLING

suck knobs

I unironically make a killing selling hype shit in Japan. I fly in to Tokyo and just hit up resell shops in shibuya. The nips pay 2-3x what you see on grailed/stockx

Only accept monero

How do you know which ones to buy?

Gonne are the days when collectibles made sense. Nowadays the kids buy "limited" edition clothing instead.

I'm fairly certain that a lot of these modern type investments are in a bubble.

Join my cook group

Hell yea dude what do you sell mainly

What connections do you need?

Why can't you just sell them on eBay for $900 if they're really worth $1,000?

Attached: grug773952.jpg (788x1498, 140K)

What does "hype shit" mean?

people like you are why resale is fucked

I don't get it. Why is that?

Also, what's a cook group?

It was OP's PayPal account worth $3500. He deleted it because he knows it's worth one weekend of fun in Vegas

If you're doing what's pictured, you need to know multiple mom and pop owners that will let you buy for a little more than retail, allowing you to raise your margins online. It's oversaturated now because rich kids started overpaying these shop owners for dibs, eroding margins and resetting the shoe economy. I am an oldhead that started doing this 12-14 years ago, it's hard to make money these days unless you have connections

discord/slack servers where people share info, exploits in websites (ex. you can bypass adidas' queue system)

Lots of nigger language and terminology but its worth it

How do these mom and pop stores get the shoes in the first place and why wouldn't they just sell for $1,000 themselves?

Does Nike just have a list of mom and pop stores that have been selling their shoes and give each store a couple pairs of desirable shoes for every thousand pairs of shitty running shoes they order?

They buy in bulk from wholesalers and sell at MSRP, some pairs get shuffled off to the side for sale on the secondhand market though.
Most of these shoes aren't from mom and pop shops; a lot of people I know use software to checkout multiple pairs online

Last response from me, most of these mom and pop shops are in a program so they buy wholesale directly from Nike. They get a limited amount of the size runs of whatever limited shoe, and then of course family and friends (and the rich kids) will get their dibs first. Certain stores exist as an official reseller which aren't allowed to jack up every shoe they get, and some exist like Flight Club where it's basically consignment and the sellers set their own prices.

Either way, it's oversaturated now. Also, Nike jacked their prices up, so a "retro" that was $120 10 years ago is $200 now, same or worse quality and obviously no change in design

Ah yes, the almighty bots. Also ruined the market

I see. Seems like it's probably a hassle and not really worth doing in addition to my day-job. Thank you for explaining, guys!

you just know those two are jews

Not really, been using cyberaio and I have about 30k worth of inventory rn plus my day job at the office. It's all about adapting, but I totally agree with you on the market being fucked.

...

could i purchase cyber off of u

>>>/kys/ faggot

Items (clothing, accessories, shoes, etc.) that people will buy up simply because of brand recognition (because fashion). Supreme, Jordan, A Bathing Ape, etc.

>3 tvs
fucking retarded

Supreme

those are windows, pal

Also I don't touch shoes, it's oversaturated as another user said. Best resell is actual clothes/accessories.

A fucking Supreme pinball machine sold 9.6k retail last week and now resells 20-50k

>A fucking Supreme pinball machine sold 9.6k retail last week and now resells 20-50k
no it doesn't

You right

Attached: Screenshot_20180531-001313.png (1080x1920, 500K)

reselling is dead. i used to be able to bot orders, until they made that raffle bullshit. so unless you want to get into spamming to win raffle orders. your other option is to pay store managers a cut to get backdoor deals.

supreme is about to go on it's way out. overpopularity kills. it's already a bad look in nyc (where supreme originated). only teenagers and losers trying to buy their attractiveness wear this garbage now.

Kek, someone I knew in high school does this. Aside from spending over a thousand for themselves, they wait hours in line just to do it

Again, I resell in Japan

>they wait hours in line just to do it
i've never stood in line for supreme. always online orders with multiple card numbers. i'm sure they banned it by now though since it's easy to see the orders going to the same address.

reselling was a good way to get your own clothing and either zero it out or make a profit. if you looked like you didn't wear supreme (back in the day) they wouldn't let you buy shit. chinks got shat on because they were known for reselling.

>i've never stood in line for supreme. always online orders
This
>multiple card numbers. i'm sure they banned it by now
They did, and that's why you do it with a few friends

How the hell do you know when something is a bad look or not?

Not even trying to resell, just want to know how the hell I can tell what styles are currently considered cool and how to tell when tastes are changing.

japan is different. i didn't read your other posts, but yeah japan doesn't give a fuck. supreme isn't cancer like it is in the states. there's a smaller group of hardcore enthusiasts compared to the states where people just buy it to buy it.

>How the hell do you know when something is a bad look or not?

streetwear is easy. when everyone and their mom is wearing it, it's fucking dead. people who wear streetwear unironically want to be unique and differentiate themselves from the majority. that's why they're willing to spend money and camp lines. but when people are reviewing clothing on youtube it's fucking over.

Ding ding ding. Shit like this is always dead by the time you've heard about it, 100% of the time. Also pro tip: any of the kids you see doing it now are using mommy/daddy's bankroll to play with, a lot of the time making little to no profit but it's a good way to siphon $ from the rich parents that gives the rich parents something to brag about (even though they're not really making much, if any $).

>there's a smaller group of hardcore enthusiasts
False. Resell culture is WAY bigger in Asia in general. To give you some perspective, there's one supreme store in london, one in paris, one in LA, 2 in nyc and fucking 4 in Tokyo alone. SEA is also crazy about that shit. Psople fucking wear hoodies and jackets Thailand just to show off. Korea is potential market I'm looking into as well

On mondays before a supreme drop there are tons of IG/twitter/Facebook polls about the coming Thursdays supreme drop and how popular they'll be. It's not hard if you dig. I don't buy every drop. The North Face for instance is a guaranteed money cow as far as collabs go

>in Asia
we were talking about japan. the rest of asia wears it as a status symbol like everything else. they love wearing fake shit.

True and the reason i chose tokyo was cuz the nips have the bankroll to buy me out. It always pays for my airbnb, plane ticket and extra money after having a mini vacation

Bigger fool theory

kek'd

I made a bunch of money buying french and British used comic books (graphic novel type)and reselling them here when I went on a trip there .

I was raised by antique dealers and worked in the same field. Over my life I have watched period American furniture essentially become worthless, while just about anything Asian has become more valuable. Millenials and even generation X doesn't really give a fuck about material items the same way the boomer generation did. Its interesting seeing what is hot in Asian markets. I want to figure out what is relatively common here that I can pay cash for, that will sell for a premium there. How did you guys get a feel for what is hot in Asia before you went? Do you have any suggestions?

that's asking price you fucking noob, the average sold price is under $15grand, the $66k sold will be a non paying bidder
why would anyone pay that when there are BIN's for 11 thousand?

>why would anyone pay that when there are BIN's for 11 thousand?

Because it's Supreme you faggot, get with the program

you're a larping kid

actual person who knows something

Millennials buy collectable rare 1/10 wobbly head pop funko faggot edition for $20000 etc while at the same time completely neglect really rare unique showpieces they could have had for the same amount or less which is sure to have historical value etc.

A lot of the boomer stuff will probably go up in value again as it has been out of production for quite some time and a lot of it compared to the shit they peddle to kids these days was produced in the west.

Regarding Asians.. i do sell some coins, mostly modern stuff to asians from time to time and i've watched a few videos from the marketplaces over there and it seems like the emerging middle-class is consuming whatever they can get their hands on... even rare Lego sets etc i've seen them display.. things that clearly are imported and bought on the second hand market in the west.

Who the fuck buys this shit?

why are you guys folding your arms

Only betas care this much about Shoes desu

I've seen software consulting job ads to write bots that watch for the announcements for Nike so the buyers have first mover advantage

>only teenagers and losers trying to buy their attractiveness wear this garbage now
kek, thats what supreme was from the beginning.

I just counted and there's over $300k worth in that picture

Enough to buy a house lol...wow

Attached: 1525757667076.jpg (498x573, 49K)

seriously though, how the fuck can people insist that cryptos are a bubble and worthless, when a fucking supreme x lv hoodie goes for like $25k?

If you NEETS don't think money can buy you happiness and bitches then look up BenjaminKickz on IG. Nerdy Jew with no style that has a hot gf. She's definitely in it for the clout tho

he doesn't seem to be doing anything with his money that would make me happy

disappointed, did not make me jealous at all.

Maybe you could make money doing that but... at what cost? How can you even look at yourself anymore?

yea i have a friend that does them, profit margins are crazy i was almost considering dumping 10k as an investment

lmao

how are those nigger shoes worth so much? like seriously if you pay more than like $150 for a pair of shoes you're mentally disabled and/or a dumb nigger that buys overpriced nigger shoes (probably both).

you are selling them to blacks who made their dollars in the streets

t. doesnt know anything about this market

the real markup is because of rich Asians and whites who want to be cool

Don’t forget about inflation though. $120 10 years ago is like $150 today.

link 2 discord

Why do niggers and chinks spend thousands of dollars on shitty name-brand clothing?

ROFLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL nice 'tvs'

also unless they're a boutique with a serious amount of clout they're forced to take full size runs in unpopular / shit designs too or else they're not allowed to stock the hyped and popular designs, that's why there's always those weird janoski style variants that no-one buys in EOS sales in every store that stocks nike, pic related.

fucking hell this thread is cringe, none of you guys know anything about popular culture, stay away you'll get burned

I've been wearing my shoes that I bought for 49 bucks for three years now. Who the hell pays shoes for 1k? They better last for the rest of your life for that money.

Attached: simpsons lisa36.jpg (304x354, 20K)

>larping
Cool story bro, whatever helps you sleep at night. I was half kidding but seriously the whole resell market premise is fucking ridiculous. And you think I'm larping? For fucks sake

Imagine spending hard earned money on “””limited edition”””” mass produced goods lmao. This is the nigger bugman.

Historically things that are marketed as collectables are rarely that. Burned indeed. Imagine a serious economic collapse where they have to unload all their wobbly head plastic figures and ugly shoes in order to stay afloat.

Ain't shit compared to old school magic cards. If you know what you're doing you get them for penny on the dollar (easy 1000% flips) and shipping is as cheap as a stamp whereas shipping and storing shoes has a higher overhead

Attached: brainlet6.png (645x729, 42K)

Those are people trying to sell pictures of their confirmation picture retard
Reading is hard

Attached: 20180531_082605.png (1080x1845, 188K)

nice, go buy a hooker with that now and lose your virginity

Unironically go on Twitter man. Tons of groups looking for members. Hell, even r*ddit has a r/sneakermarket discord full of helpful people

Attached: Screenshot_20180531-083432.png (1080x1920, 234K)

1) half of your paycheck goes to the stores where you buy stuff, said stores are owned by dad and mom of the trust fund kids who buy that shit
2) the other half of your paycheck goes to taxes, taxes go to niggers who also buy that shit

imagine convincing yourself being a consumerist drone makes you part of an elite class
even ellsworth toohey was an advocate for mankind, in comparison with the reality of nogs and wiggers
