Mechanical engineering graduate here
Whats the best sector and kinds of jobs I should be searching for as a recent graduate?
And what's most in demand that will get me a job quickly?
Mechanical engineering graduate here
Finance
Probably in the same field as your internship.
You did do an internship right?
no
>graduated as a chemical engineer 4 years ago
>working a job that isnt related to my field
>tfw people were laughing at me today at work because i wasted several years at university for nothing
all of these JUSTed posts you see on Jow Forums everyday? theres no one here thats more JUSTed than me
what job?
start a toroidal rocket engine company i'll buy it from you once you have working product.
for you? no idea, depends where you live i guess
no what is your job
coal sampler
Apply for literally everything and take what you can get. Be willing to move as well.
H-how much for h-her?
Nice chick, too bad I'm a faggot
me in the far back
kek
What does coal taste like?
>major in mechanical engineering for 2.5 years
>drop out, learn programming
>work as software engineer
honestly being a programmer seems silly when you think about it. being a greasy cave monkey typing magic words to develop some shitty mobile app for dipshit teenagers is sure tackling on the world's most pressing problems... I used to dream I would work at NASA.
dark and rich, its an acquired taste
Aerospace is one of the big sectors right now. Healthcare too, design of syringes and the like, at least in my area.
looking for a job after you've graduated, you're doing it wrong. actually you're not even looking for a job, you're just now starting to think about which industry you should look for a job in.
>Aerospace is one of the big sectors right now. Healthcare too, design of syringes and the like, at least in my area.
impossible to penetrate without experience in the field
I failed the test. I am also a faggot.
You passed the test. You win the maiden.
Certified production tech. Doesnt make you an engineer
Wrong, I've worked in aerospace (tactical propulsion) and my gf in healthcare and we are both fresh out of engineering school.
bricks were shat
>Just get an internship bro they're so easy to get XXDDDD
Fuck! guess i am a faggot!
They are tho.
there is one more faggot easter egg
where do you live or want to work, and what parts of mechanical engineering are/were you good at?
theres also the guy on the left of the redshirt fag
FUCK!
I never went to college, just recently enrolled after working as a software dev for almost 5 years.
We develop things that create a ton of job opportunities and also make lives easier for huge corporations. I honestly don't think it's tackling any important issues the world has, but it sure is satifying to know all the big guys rely on the shit you do.
would recommend software development (java) to anyone
one advice: if you actually like engineering and getting your hands dirty from time to time (applied engineering, making prototypes, etc), dont get a cushy design/ quality/ drafting jobs in big corporations.
i did that and i fucking wanted to kill myself the first few years. youll be swimming in shit ocean of bureaucracy, theres office politics (even when theres barely any cunts around, theres plenty of manginas), you wont actually get to do anything interesting, etc. if youre a hands on person, get a job in a small company.
yet software engineers usually get paid more than other engineers.
t. mechanical engineer
Look into the company who makes the drones that drop bombs. They are about to explode and need all the engineers they can get.
>They are about to explode and need all the engineers they can get.
where did you got this user?
