I've thought about this myself, it is an interesting question. Part of it would depend on the age of the girl. A college aged girl might be impressed with 100k? It would be cool to see some kind of scientific study on this.

They have done some scientific studies and the current theory is that women who are still financially dependent on their parents go for more beta, less high earning men and when they are "on their own" they start going for more fatherly but also high income men.
A few years back OKCupid I think found that after the age of 23 the attractiveness of a man earning under 60k(?) a year plummets precipitously.
But here's the flipside: people rarely marry outside of their income stream. I don't have a link but basically they found that very few women marry or long-term date men who are of higher socioeconomic status than themselves, less than 5%. So the good news is that the kid from the rich side of town wearing all Tommy Hilfiger ain't gonna steal your girl, the bad news is if you were born on the rough side of the tracks and didn't go to private school, you're gonna marry a girl just like you.
Now AGE... that's where things start skewing.
This is very different to China where ALL women marry up by about a paygrade which means that the highest earning women become spinsters because there are no super-mega millionaire men left.

Let's put it in Jow Forums terms - your value proposition is money, that's it. You have no point of differentiation. What happens when a more attractive guy comes along who offers the same money? What if he earns MORE money than you? Now he has a far superior VP to yours, why would she stay loyal if the only thing she was after was money?
I mean, this has even happened to ROCKSTARS, Anthony Kiedis who has fucked some of the world's most desirable women did this: met a girl when she was a hostess at a restaurant, he put her through Fashion College with his own money. Then she leaves him for Jay Kay from JamIroqui or something.

Firstly he's larping. Secondly I was trying to stop him from getting his heart broken - people are better prepared to deal with the world when they understand the truth of this universe. I was being empathetic, while you however consciously choose to chastise and read nefarious intention behind an attempt at enlightening someone.
I refuse to sugar coat and add to the lies, because I frankly believe that it is when we find those illusions shatter that we endure the most despair.
