Why is everything so expensive in Europe? Wikipedia says they make less money than us, so shouldn't their stuff be cheaper?

But we really do make more money than the average British or French person. Yet when I went there everything was expensive af.

more taxes, also supply in Europe is less while demand is probably same as in the US
for example the US, due to its geography can produce far more food, so food is very cheap

Socialism.

americans should be killed

so uh then how do you pay for stuff... or do you guys just buy less stuff

Basically this.

All these niggers won't feed themselves, hence the taxes.

we buy less stuff
I've never been to the US, but some I know said that in the US middle class people live like rich people live here
I suppose in the US the difference is simply greater between poor and rich due to the (lack of) social security provided by the state

>tfw european prices with a lithuanian economy

Its called jealousy

They don't get in massive debts over housing/college/health care

1. Crime rates
2. Things like healthcare and college tuition are much cheaper, even if other things are more expensive.

for example in Germany or the Scandinavian countries, despite the GDP per capita being lower than in the US, the HDI is higher
if you're a poor person in Germany or Sweden you might not be able to go to vacation or have a nice car, but you'll be fine
if you're a poor person in the US and need to go to the doctor regularly or somethign you're fucked

It isn't though, at least not in Germany. And really, why would it be such a bad thing anyway? Overly cheap stuff only leads to resource waste, overeating, rampant consumerism and garbage mountains. Exhibit A: the USA.

>Overly cheap stuff only leads to resource waste, overeating, rampant consumerism and garbage mountains.
yes
consumerism is cancer
unfortunately we're infested with it since 1945

Ive also wondered this. One thing the typical mutt doesnt realize is that the rest of the world doesnt consume nearly as much as they do. It would be criminal in most places to be so materialistic and wasteful. Amerimutts will spend gobs of money on shit thats cheap and throw away half the product when they're done. One thing I dont get is clothing in Europe there. For instance in Prague a good kid can make maybe 1500 euros per month, spend 500 on rent and basic necessities and is left with 1000 for food and everything else but they all dress like movie stars. Their clothes are the same price or more than here too.. like a pair of pants was 150 euros and they would buy that with 1000 or less euros left over per month? blew my mind. One guy in belgium told me if he can save 500 euros per month thats a good month... I almost died laughing

They don't get shot and then have to pay for their healthcare

I wish everything was cheaper because then i might actualy be able to afford to take driving lessons and perhaps even have enough money to own a shitty car.

BASED

Elsewhere people envy the Netherlands for relying on cars so little.

At least you're in the EU

How many coffee could you buy in a month? Me something like 3000.

>he needs driving lessons.

don't you have a dad?

In civilized countries you are forced to log a certain amount of driving hours with a certified instructor. I've been driving since I was like 14 but I still had to do the mandated 17 whatever the number was hours.

It's a legal thing, you need so and so many lessons with a trained instructor before you're admitted to the driving exam. In our countries we believe driving is serious enough of a thing that only trained instructors can factually and satisfyingly teach it.

>you are forced
and you have to pay for it? what if you are poor?

If you're too poor for a license you'd be too poor for a car anyway. Unless you live in the countryside you'll find a way to get around by public transport or other means.
