What does butobu mean? It was in the last thread but I can’t figurw it out.
Ryder Bennett
脳天ぶっ飛ぶ大一番 nouten buttobu ooichiban top of the skull goes flying ooichiban
Ooichiban literally means "big number one" and is often used to mean a game or match that decides who is the overall champion of something, especially in sumo. But it is music lyrics so it is hard to say exactly what the person who wrote them meant.

There's a といい in my dictionaries but only repeated like in 「このコーヒーは味といい香りといい、申し分ありません。」 Is this the same one?
MC is a teacher who got discouraged by his last job because his zeal was shut down by the harsh reality of bad and lazy students getting by with mommy and daddy's money, etc. Now one if his students is really eager to learn and called him up to get extra tutoring which sparked his flame again, sorta. That's what the 感覚 refers to. The 調子を狂わされる is because she's a bit of an aho and said おやすみなさい to him at the end of the call which he found weird.
It's the same. There's no rule that there has to be two, just like how you can have the ~たりする structure with only one たり. といい is just used to offer an example of what the person is talking about.

Thank you very much

It's pretty much the same as the other guy said. >Alongside that sensation I felt earlier, her parting words left me with nothing to say. Would be *my* interpretation.
Camden Baker
Very helpful. Thank you.
Juan Hill
Oops, I only checked DoJG and HJGP. Thank you too.

Not sure if I am missing an epic meme or something and I didn't read the last thread, but not sure what the user replying to you is talking about. It makes no sense.
「ぶっ」etc is used in many ways ぶっ殺す ぶっ飛ばす etc. The 漢字 in this case is 打つ which means to hit. Adding it in front of other words implies incredible force.
Ethan King
I answered his original question ( ) very thoroughly and in a way I thought he would understand in order to make him go away. Because he doesn't know anything about Japanese and an answer like yours would be completely meaningless to him.
Ayden Jenkins
I see. Well no harm no foul.

I translated 大一番 as the "greatest game". といい=と言い 直訳すれば (Bを前提にして)Aと言い talking about A, it's in the same case as B と いう感じ
Does it necessarily mean physical force, or just generally "strengthening" the verb, like "fucking" in english?

What is the gist of these? Is the guy just getting blueballed by his editors?

Admonishing young comic artists, who have already got their contracts with publishers for some extent so that they are no longer to be regarded as mere amature doujin artists, to be cautious when making fanart of princess Bowser, as Nintendo is well known for thier strict attitude toward violation of their copyrights and it may cause some troubles even involving those publishers and so on other than artists themselves.
>You can't learn Japanese without reading! Want to bet? I'm not touching a word of actual non-example Japanese until I have finished core 6000 and at least 2 grammer guides. Should be less than a year left at this rate.
Though, literal translation would be like >Fan arts are brilliants cultural activity, I myself also appreciate those fan arts referring my works. >However, what I recommend young artists to keep in their minds are that you should consider the your positions in the market, the holder of the copy right, publisher, other companies contracting to you, and relationship between yourselves and others before making fan arts and make it sure that even in the worst case the people who would get into troubles will be nobody other than yourself, before making those fan arts so freely. >I think that one (princess Bowser) is made by one of those publishers who are known for strictest attitude toward fan arts, isn't it? As an professional artist who are running series on comic magazines, I will never draw those fan arts unless the copyright holders themselves are prompting those activities or absolute permission is given by them, even if I myself wanna draw it.
Fan arts and counting it sounds unnatural, it's usually just fan art, not that/those fan arts, just fan art. *Fan art is a brilliant cultural activity, I myself also appreciate fan art referring my works. ...to keep in their mind is that you should consider your position on the market, the holder of the copyrights...and make sure that even in the worst case scenario the people who would get into trouble... ...known for the strictest attitude towards fan art, isn't it? As a professional artist who is running a series on comic magazines...*

Maybe what he want to say is that the secondary creation of works whose publisher is very strict on copyright 'must' not be done.
Niijima made my condition be out of order in the way similar to the sense that I felt before. in the way similar to と訳したけれど、 as same way as the sense that I felt before というのもありかと。
Speaking of A, needless to say, A is virtually the same as B これを相関的に、 BといいAといい 書くこともあるわけです
>このコーヒーは味といい香りといい、申し分ありません。 Both the taste and the smell of the coffee are perfect. The taste of the coffee are perfect and , needless to say, the smell is as perfect as the taste >Is this the same one? YEP
NO THANK YOU!
>I don't have any interest in VNs I could write a wall of text by all the definitions of the term telling you why you're being an idiot of a colossal scale by avoiding reading them, but doing so until I'd be satisfied would bump the thread to the limit so I'll refrain. I'll just leave it at that you're missing on the cream of the crop of japanese entertainment.
Its going to increase whenever more censorship talk does. This time appears different though since sony is also censoring japanese versions. We have to endure the bully
Chase Nguyen
What is the difference here exactly? Don't they both kinda emphasize next year?
