Callcenter were just the first wave, after that more complicated stuff came. If you have no experience at all yet then you need to take the callcenter pill though. There is no magic formula, it all depends on what you want. If you want to develop into people management, you can start doing so even in a callcenter, rise in the ranks and then switch to some company which deals with stuff more interesting for you. If you want only the money but otherwise doing your own stuff you should check with place is most lean back and start there, because the pay is more or less the same everywhere. If you want to work in project management obviously most callcenters arent for you, then you need some bigger corporation which you then can internally switch to some interesting department, for ex HP. Do you speak languages besides English?

It was mostly creatively filling in templates for week-long events where EU/NATO officials - budget requested, seminar schedules, then doing all the accounting stuff and putting all the documents together, providing proof (receipts, invoices, etc.)

Got to travel Bulgaria and also travel abroad on company dime, though, so that was good. Loved organizing events (seminars, lectures) in various Sofian hotels. Worked with young educated people. It was quite fun.
