>Ąžuolynas (literally, "Oak Grove") is a public park in Lithuania's second largest city, Kaunas, in the Žaliakalnis elderate. The park covers about 84 hectares and is the largest urban stand of mature oaks in Europe.
suck it eurofags
They split the Danube with an artificial island for flood protection and the result is a 22km long park.
>city
What city is it located in?
About 300 sqkm
Nice.
38ha
városliget is bigger by 3.5 ha though
does it often flood?
yeah but that includes all the fuck huge buildings. in reality the total useful area of városliget is more around 80 hectares
if its a cold winter with lots of snow and the warmth comes suddenly so yeah it may a bit
688ha
good thread and a comfy park you got
where do you live
12 years ago I had an amazing club sandwich in a bar next to this park, sadly I couldn't find it the last time I was in Wien because I forgot its name and exact location
Apparently Chugach State Park is technically within the City of Anchorage, kek.
The public garden, Galați. It isn't this large, like 5 hectares from what I gauge off google maps. It's great in winter though.
Entrance with a real Norwegian church
I live in Versailles, I suppose this is our "park".
Not drinking beer with friends during summer in Rieger gardens
Why even live :(
Why is there a Norwegian church in Netherland ?
Not drinking beer in Letna park with friends
Why even live :(
I once drank a beer an Wenceslaus square with my friends and the cops fined us for 300 crowns :((((
In the late 19th century Norwegian sailors wanted some place where they could practice their religion and thus this church was built
Yeah some areas in centre have zero alcohol tolerancy thanks to the lovely Brits
They are ruining everything
Why can't they practice in in a Dutch church since you're both Lutheran?
No bullying please i live in a small town
We're not Lutheran
Don't tell me you play pétanque ?
Vienna right? I went swimming in the Alte Donau (Old Danube I assume) when I was there - don't know if you're meant to go swimming in that bit but I did anyway.
not really an actual park. just some flat grass land with some trees and paths. only reason why it exists is because of tree huggers
the largest park also have the zoo in it
Southsea Common, Portsmouth, UK
Actually this is probably a better view.
It's just a bunch of stairs
those apartments are CUTE
At least the kids must like it...
it's fun for everyone
leaf, mississauga
erindale park
I am actually here right now
Why are they sitting naked on the park? Can't afford a trip to Greece?
:)
enjoying a nice bag of celery while at erindale park
america is his city
Central Park, New York.
Point pleasant park is the largest, but the public gardens are much nicer. Iirc it's the only Victorian era public gardens in the Americas
Herăstrău Park (or King Michael I Park since they renamed it in 2017 but no one calls it that). Stretches over 187 ha, of which 74 ha is the lake. It also has an open-air house museum featuring the different traditional architectural styles.
same
My city :)
Good looking, large, well maintained city parks are a 1st world privilege. Our parks are really, REALLY shitty, small with little to no funding. That might change soon though.
The park here is not only small, but very very shitty, and its supposed to be a famous park. The only good parks here are large natural parks.
