Γιαούρτι (yogurt)

so its all just "yogurt" in greece?
interesting

Eh, I guess since we probably eat mostly what you call Greek yogurt. Btw even here there are two common types, the normie one and the non-normie (non-official categorization), a more traditional type that has a petsa (πέτσα, can't find an english translation, synonym to membrane) that I absolutely need to learn to eat (can't do yet) because it is very healthy, but more sour than the normie type.

i honestly wouldnt know if what we call "greek yogurt" is actually greek yogurt, since i havent tasted yogurt from greece
it might as well just be some advertising gimmick

Now that I looked it up, what you call "Greek yogurt", we call it "strained yogurt" and it's the normie type I was talking about before, and the one I eat. Btw that yogurt with petsa has not reached the New World yet.

If it is a very thick yogurt, then it's this type probably
