Was that a question or a statement?
>nyaa pantsu
Isn't that the shittier of the two nyaa clones?
Was driving today with my mammy and Niall Boylan asked on the radio today "What would you vote in a United Ireland referendum?" and my mam said no. Was fairly shocked at first but when I realised she was serious I asked her why, assuming it'd be because she's bought into the whole spiel on there being a return to the Troubles, but no, it was because "we can't afford it". What the fuck do you even respond to this?
unionist pain is irish gain
the answer of course is not a united ireland but being nary a citystate in the coundry of the federated european union, once britain joins us being subsumed by the super country I suppose in a way you could say we're united as one.
Don't worry the EU will give us lots of money
attack of the clones was really about the united Ireland
Being fed southern partitionist propeganda I see.
>Me no like dublin it urban, Me no like immigrants they different religion
>Me want Belfast it urban, Me want 3 million british immigrants they protestant
Fucking hell éire/pol/ can't you ever be consistent in your retarded smooth-brained beliefs.
>immigrants
Who said we want them?
They can fuck off or die for all we care.
It's the land they've stolen that we want, mboko.
Go away yikes.
I question sometimes why I even bother posting here
*blares death grips from a boombox at you*
I'd still prefer them to Jamal and Abdullah
It's been worse lately than usual, but everything will be daijoubu by Christmas
What makes you think that? I've been trying to convince myself since the summer that it'll get better but honestly there's just been an exponential increase in the amount of brataigh bréagach and general /brit/posting
You have thirty seconds to explain why the prequels weren't kino

Jar-Jar Binks
sorry i can't hear you over the duel of the fates
I can't.
>Star Wars
Old star wars is kino
new star wars is a fucking joke
I wonder what kind of shitposts episode 9 will bring us?
They shot some of it near Dingle though, fair play to them
I only hope Mark Hamill is in it. That could save it. Ghost Luke is tired of your SHIT.
Or else Adam Driver.; He's an okay actor, same as that scrawny Jew Garfield from Silence, he's okay.
>Skellig
>Near Dingle
Nah that was a fucking joke. Whatever Disney paid was not enough to cheapen Irish-Catholic heritage. It was the worst fucking star wars movie too. They tried to give Jake Skywalker street cred by stealing a thousand years of stolen Irish Catholic monk history for him, and it still was fucking shite. Fuck them and whoever allowed this GRAVE ROBBING. bASTARS.
6 > 5 > 4 > 3 > 1 > 2 > TFA > R1 > Solo > TLJ
And blew some puffin hatchlings off the cliffs with their helicopters.
Every problem with Ben could have been solved by Anakin's force ghost talking to him. It does back up my headcanon that force ghosts don't exist and Luke is just schizophrenic. That's why no one but him can see them.
>6 > 5
The parts in the throne room were 12/10 but the rest was meh.
>R1
It's a really good movie if you come into it halfway through.
Weird. But old SW canon was very sensible about everything
new SW canon would end the current "conflicts" but open everything into more interesting avenues anyway
Kylo and Rey are basically Jacen and Jaina without thirty years of EU backstory anyway. If they wanted they could have made a self-contained story in the old canon, but they were gambling on having the biggest possible expanse of the EU under direct Disney control anyway
even if they had incompetent barely-literate SJW soy-creatures typing it all out at accountants' command LOL
>It's a really good movie if you come into it halfway through
Probably but that huge hole of WHO THE FUCK are the girl and mexican man are too big to ignore
there should have been only five characters:
>woman: Leia crossed with Luke
>man: Han crossed with Luke
> arab pilot: Luke crossed with Chewbacca
>asian man: Obi-wan crossed with C3PO
>droid: Han crossed with R2D2
I mostly agree about your ROTJ analysis but I still think it's the best movie of the series, or at least the most key
the original series wouldn't be shit without the scenes between Luke Vader and Emperor, true quasi-religios kino
I don't know I didn't see it, it's a bit childish for me.
TLJ isn't childish, it's man-childish
and not "oh he likes the pretty lasers and the medieval hero versus super-laser techno evil" kind of childish
the SJW "he doesn't know what being a man in the classical sense has always meant" kind of man
Ryan Johnson
>Patrick Pearse is my hero!

Report and ignore shitposting
yeah whatever RLM fags
I've just ignored it because I see it as a cheap sjw cash in of a popular franchise. Same with the Hobbit trilogy.
Yeah, I saw TFA in the cinema because I was curious, and R1 because I was with a party
was moderately suprised with how well TFA went down, normie-wise, but R1 had a poor reception with my party
me personally it did nothing

Explain how.
If my mother ever said anything like that, my image of her would be tarnished forever.

I forget what I meant, but Palpatine was the (((neolib))), Droids were the prods, and Jedi were the Cath-nats.
>What makes you think that?
Christmas on /éire/ is usually pretty relaxed. But I do share your concerns about the false-flagging and /brit/posting.
>tfw the prequels have been memed so hard that they've looped around to being praised as modern classics
The prequels are the key document for undestanding the generation between the zoomers and the boomers.
ROTS was in 2005, after all.
Why do you take these political religious allegories out of a science fiction film series for kids?
>It's a really good movie if you come into it halfway through.
Unusual praise. I haven't watched Rogue One, but is it worth it just for the action in the second half?
>there is no such thing as subtext or allegory in movies
That will be a yikes from me to you, Yikesanon.
>is it worth it just for the action in the second half?
Yes. Yes it is.
I made this
>The prequels are the key document for undestanding the generation between the zoomers and the boomers.
I'm not sure what you mean by this.
Cónaíonn muid i tscochaí
Redpill me on Palpatine. Was he really the good guy all along?
Might give it a watch over the weekend then.
The generation that's old enough to remember stuff between 1995 and 2005 is too old for zoomers but too young for boomers.
Not him, but R1 is extremely weak in terms of characters to care about. Only character I gave a shit about was the arab pilot, but only because we see fuck all of low-level grunts and pilots in the old EU, but he's pointless for the new canon too.
You could pop in as soon as they get to the big epic action planet, but it'd be meaningless and tiring.
I haven't seen the movie since I first saw it, so who knows what's best to start at fresh. I certainly remember the first twenty to thirty minutes being pointless and counterproductive.
Yes
Take off your tinfoil hat kid
The Sith are bad because their religion is quite literally evil
but the old Jedi are bad for being excessively legalistic, compromising with secular authorityy, and quasi-latitudinarian
a bit like the relationship of Catholicism to secular autority in the second millenniumn
George Lucas is woke to the prod question
>was moderately suprised with how well TFA went down, normie-wise
TFA was a solid film in terms of what its objective was; conducting a soft reboot of the Star Wars franchise while setting the wheels in motion for the new Disney era of the franchise. It was inoffensive and rethread a lot of A New Hope, but it had just enough new material and crowd-pleasing content to be received positively by normies and die-hard fans alike.
Sith = jews
republic = latitudinarian prods
jedi = catholics
trade federation = prods
hardcore separatists = muslims
The prequel storyline was heavily influenced by politics though, as were the originals. The chancellor's emergency powers were referencing the Patriot Act for example. George compared Sheev to Richard Nixon pretty strongly back in the 80's.
>The generation that's old enough to remember stuff between 1995 and 2005 is too old for zoomers but too young for boomers.
That depends on your definition of "boomer" (the meme boomers that is, not actual boomers).
>kid
FOY.
That's how Disney have sold it, but as a fan of the old SW canon I'm not hugely impressed. I outgrew the old EU but I don't see much of what appealled to me in that old EU in the new one desu.
It's amazing how divisive R1 was. It split both the hardcore Star Wars fans and casual viewer audiences right down the middle.
>but I don't see much of what appealled to me in that old EU in the new one desu.
Disney is known to dislike most of the old EU.
Yeah, yeah we get it user. You hate women and minorities.
Meme boomers are in the "wake" of Nirvana and grunge of that era. If you were 10 or so when Nirvana were active, you are boomer, if you were 10 or so when Prequels were active, you are hybrid/proto-zoomer, if you are 10 now, (or after youtube.pewdiepie became omnipresent) you are zoomer.
>If you were 10 or so when Prequels were active, you are hybrid/proto-zoomer
I don't think this demographic really exists. Most of the people in this grouping will either being boomers or zoomers depending on their mindset.
>rethread a lot of A New Hope
That's the most offensive part to me.
>it had just enough new material
Like what? Kylo's lightsaber? Everything else is shit. All the aliens look like ugly English coal miners and the tech stuff is rehashed but worse.
This false-flagging is getting tiresome.
Have adult beliefs and I will call you an adult
If only people would listen when told to report and ignore instead of feeding them with (You)s
>If you don't agree with the rhetoric I spout and don't just parrot my beliefs back to me you're false flagging
Epic
I am both to some extent so I feel literally nothing at R1 except contempt at how poorly Disney's gay Jewish californians understand Star Wars and its audience.
>Disney is known to dislike most of the old EU.
In my eyes it would be fine for them to delete the EU if they could replace it with stuff that was as engaging to star wars fans as the old EU was. But they can't, because the Old EU was built over 30 years in an environment in which they had nothing but the EU books/comics and the original series, and because they felt that everything that was added to the OT was an increase in the stuff they knew about Star Wars
now for all they might add to it it feels like "making up" what previously existed in thirty years worth of EU to tie into their mediocre movies, and that can't be good for the morale of the hardcore fans. If you see what they did with the star trek reboots, they at least had the grace to say it took place within an alternative universe, rather than leaving old Star Trek in limbo.
Heir to the empire explains what happened to the empire, dark empire explains what happened to palpatine and his legacy in the old EU, not much else is needed to explain Star Wars except "the rebels won and instituted a new Galactic Republic, and they all lived happily ever after, the end". Anything else is pointless make-work.
While r/ireland is a racist, bigoted shithole it is still a better representation of Ireland today than you culchie bastards
I would like to see how r/dublin is racist and bigoted (against non-Irish non-hetero non-Catholc people), but otherwise I doubt you
>not knowing what FOY means
Dubbo pls.
