I don't see your reasoning here. Denmark is much more similar to Germany than we are. Memes aside, cultural divisions in Scandinavia or the Nordics would be:

Sweden, Åland and Finland ( east Norse/Swedish) obviously Finland has their own culture but they also borrowed a huge amount of stuff from us and we borrowed lots from them

West Norse: Norway, possibly Iceland and Faroes if you want to lump the isles in with Norway ( might be big cultural differences but still heavily influenced by Norway )

Southern Norse, Denmark and possibly Northern Germany

Elaborate, you oil-drinking fjord monkey :3

I was mostly joking, to return fire from the Denmark comment.
You're right if we're gonna be serious, west norse is Norway and the (old) norwegian realm and east norse is Denmark+Sweden.

хaхa eбин

It's actually other way around.

Wait how can Denmark be east norse? Maybe linguistically ( spelling?) but culturally it feels like they are their own thing but maybe I'm wrong here. I have been to all of the Nordics including Iceland and Danes are by far the most extroverted, non-autistic of us and remind more of continentals than the rest. I would say Norway and Sweden are about equally introverted but it depends on the region ( Bergen in Norway and Gothenburg in Sweden are the more non-autistic areas ) and Finland I guess is slightly more introverted than we are.

Eastern Norwegians are by far more similar to Danes than the Swedes, you're a lot more timid and collectivistic in my opinion. Norwegian and Danish humour for example is more similar. I don't think it's much difference at all, but I'd say Swedes are the odd one out in Scandinavia.

You are informed, I'll give you that. It's true that Bergensere (people from Bergen) have a grim reputation for being extremely outgoing and often arrogant (even for Norwegian standards, haha).
It's also the most visually beautiful Norwegian city so I don't mind.
Regarding the Denmark = east norse thing: yeah, it's about linguistics. Of course, today 70% of Norway uses bokmål, a derivative of danish, but if you look further back there are more similarities between Danish and Swedish than there are between either of them and Norwegian.

I agree if you commit to maintaining the east norway-west norway divide. I don't want western Norway to become mixed and blended in with the rest of Scandinavia

I don't see how it's much difference at all between Western and Eastern Norway. I've only experienced that Bergensere are obnoxious as fuck, but that's about it.

west and east norway are very different like the food and culture. east norway eating fish and more polite but western eating pork sausage, also eastern more nice but cold

It's more about the historical and linguistical heritage.

Vestlendinger are based and redpilled, ö*Tlendinger however are cringey danes that love Islamic cock

don't tell that to the danes though, they still believe the "rollo was danish" lie

>Dublin and Cork are Norway
Excuse me what the fuck

The cities were founded by Norwegian vikings.

Let Iceland remain their own country.
Let Ireland keep their parts
Vinland is too far away and has no Norwegian culture or history.
South Pole is I guess okay because no one else owns it and we can be greedy if we want.
All the historically celtic speaking regions can be their own things, really.
Orkney and Shetland are Norwegian, yeah.
Faroes are Norwegian, but if they ever want to be an independent country they should be allowed to.
Greenland should be an independent country, but if they don't want to be we should build up their industry so they can support themselves and leave. But yeah. Norway are the owners for the time being.
Jämtland, Härjedalen and Bohuslän are 100% Norway.

Finnmark is more Norwegian than Finnish, but ideally the Saami should get their own country.
Finland has no historical claims to Finnmark, meanwhile Norway has been along the coast for more than a thousand years. However historically neither Norway nor Finland are the true owners of Finnmark, however Norway has a greater claim than Finland.

You would give up on the Hebrides?
You dog.
You traitor.

>Jämtland, Härjedalen and Bohuslän are 100% Norway.
lol cringe

Hebrides lack real connection to Norway, and is one of few places where at least some people know Scotland Celtic. It's also located in a unnatural position compared to Norway, we'd have to go in a big circle around Scotland so it's not really that natural to expand the borders that direction.

But, the important part, I don't know how we lost it, or if we even ever owned it?
Was it something Denmark stole from us with cheap trickery, like everything else, or did we lose it due to our own stupidity or did we never own it?
I can agree to a claim to it if it belonged to Norway when we entered the union with Sweden and Denmark, but then Denmark grabbed it and stole it and lost it without Norwegian consent, like it happened for the parts in Sweden and Shetland and Orkney. But if it's less than that, I don't think we have any claim to it.

this

How is it cheap trickery if they just took it from you? You couldn't do anything about it lol
