Why is Reddit like this

Is it a new phenomenom? I recently got back into gaming after friends gifted me the latest Call of Duty and have been watching some Youtube videos. Quite a few of these content creators are literal 30+ obese men ranting about SJW's in videogames. It's odd.

Funnily enough they aren't actual normies. They're like tier 2 normies - they are social rejects (fucking dads playing fortnite, yikes) but they also still have the normie urges for validation and such. Truly a terrible fate.
Seriously, can you imagine being this guy, some autistic deadbeat dad playing Fortnite in his crappy little apartment, seeing his kids he got coaxed into creating with his ex once a week ever since she realized he was a fucking manchild and divorced him?
