Firstly you have to find a segment of society, preferably middle class or richer, that is looking for some kind of narrative to give them a sense of direction.
Peterson has already cornered his own market, but what I'd suggest is start watching Alan Watts, Chris Butler, Tony Robbins, Robert Kiyosaki and Oprah lectures and start making notes on the themes, but also how they structure their lectures and storytelling - try and see how they are similar and how they are different.
In amongst that matrix of lecturing you should be able to figure out how you can position your own snakeoil in a relatively untapped audience.
Oh and read Joseph Campbell, even if it's just the wiki article, just so you can get the clotheshorse to hang your bullshit 'my story of achieving the American dream' onto.
