Latin America is richer than India but the Indians that can afford to immigrate are richer than the average in Latin America.

It's pretty hard to succeed in a country if you can't even speak its language, so the ones who want to work in IT/engineering won't consider LatAm as an option. Plus, countries like USA and Canada seem more attractive in comparison.
As far as the labourers are concerned, afaik, there's no demand for them in South America, and I doubt they would feel comfortable going to a place without a big South Asian population.

Why? What business do pakis have in Argentina? I can understand them flooding the UK because they're an ex-British colony, but I don't understand why they flood so many other countries as well. When I went to Barcelona there were a shit ton of pakis there too. Like you say, Indians don't migrate anywhere near as much as pakis so I'm just confused.

I meant proportionally. India has almost 7 times the population of Pakistan, yet Indians make up 2.3% of the UK population while Pakis make up 1.9%. As another example, Germany is 1% Indian and 0.7% Pakistani.
