Crypto mass adoption

Crypto's mass adoption will happen in 2019 or do you think it will take even longer?

Everyone is talking about it. The goal is to go mainstream, but right now it looks like btc doesn't make much use in the daily life of ppl.
So if this is the target, then let me tell you, not more than a week ago a new type of internet has been launched and looks kinda revolutionary.

Do you think this is it? Skywire looks like a natural evolution of what we had so far.
Plus, the coin will blow up once ppl find out about it and can make use of it at the community level.

Is this the 2019 are we all expecting? Can't say Skycoin didn't hook me up.

crypto mass adoption will never happen, simply because normans don't care about decentralization, credit cards are currently working flawlessly and it's companies that take the fee hit, so what would compel a norman to go out of his way to register on shady exchanges, transfer money there just so that his payments would become slower, and he would have a serious risk of someone social engineering or simply hacking his coins

lately facebook got slashed pretty hard for selling data and guess what, number of active users and revenue increased, that's to give you an idea about how much norman cares to be his own bank and manage his own data

Even normans eventually will understand how easy it is to avoid taxes with cryptos. That alone is a good enough incentive for total transformation.
First it will be frown upon like smoking weed, but eventually it will become the norm.

how shortsighted can you be? it surely would end well if there was an easy way to avoid taxes
"there's no cruelty that otherwise a liberal and benign government wouldn't commit when it doesn't have enough money"

As we speak, normans already acknowledge the importance of crypto and trust me, they all want in otherwise they ll be left behind due to the enthusiasm I see around new blockchain-based mesh-internet.

What I imagine for the near future is a coexistence between traditional banking and crypto. Seems the most rational way, until it will be taken over by crypto as it starts to pay off.

I've been checkin out skycoin system, interesting yeah but it will take time till it will become a common practice

Pandora's box is open, there's no going back.
Governments will have to become competitive businesses. Forcing monopolies won't work anymore.

idiot.
In my country, cash transactions over 10k as of next year will be illegal.
all transactions over 10k have to be done via 'electronic means'.. ding ding ding, Bitcoin motherfucker

how naive, I'm willing to bet that you are at most 25yo and have lived in a peaceful country your whole life
you simply don't know what yours and any government will do when it's pushed to the wall, you won't be so smart when police shows up at your house and giving you the option to either give up your bitcoins or go to jail without process as a political dissident and system's enemy

mate im 35, and i've been homeless without a dollar to my name, and i've been at the top sitting on a million $ in bitcoin..
you wont ever see the economy like i do. police taking my bitcoins? get your hand off it m8.
