An ordinary day in France

>French cinema
Not even once

And the latino got cucked :(

breaking news: Paul Verhoeven is now french
fucking retard

Based on a book by a Frenchman.

i really really really hate france

He is watching the movie. The movie is directed by a dutch guy. Simple as

Recommend some recent french cinema pls

>IT WAS DIRECTED BY A DUTCH SO IT DOESN'T COUNT

The movie was pretty decent though. Better than what the yanks shit out by the day at least.

I recommend Louis Malle. Except for The Lovers. All that movie has is an antiquated "racey" sex scene for 1958.
You can watch breathless as more of a study.

well he wouldn't have never heard of it if they didn't make a movie out of the book, right? so I think it's a fair argument.
also, I wouldn't open my mouth i were you, considering you come from the country that produces pretty much every blacked porn movies.
I liked climax a lot, it came out this year. watched high life yesterday by Claire Denis. it was good too, very "strange" but captivating somehow

I'm looking for recent ones, already know about the classics.

>(((you))) produce blacked porn!!!
France produces plenty of interracial porn. Yeah, it's not as popular but no one has more popular media than the US.

Yea I'm waiting for those two.

They don't make a brand out of it tho.

>muh le cuck

Stick to capeshit macaco

My dick is hard now...

>France produces plenty of interracial porn. Yeah, it's not as popular but no one has more popular media than the US.
why are mutts experts on interracial porn?

>Ur A mUtT
but am I wrong?

Well, many contemporary French movies depict bored or simply decadent middle class people, some of the newest examples I remember are:
(with Isabelle Huppert)
imdb.com/title/tt4120176
and without her
imdb.com/title/tt1440232/

It's kinda boring to watch them, like they lack any positive idea. Still, even among those movies one can find something interesting, eg. I'm not a fan of Ozon *for the reason stated above), but I enjoyed this one:

If you like more intense movies, this thriller is quite watchable:
imdb.com/title/tt1726861/

t. bull preper

>and inviting migrants into their country
but you did that

>The first Gastarbeiter were recruited from European nations. However Turkey pressured the Federal Republic to allow its citizens to become guest workers.[5] Theodor Blank, Secretary of State for Employment, was opposed to such agreements. He held the opinion that the cultural gap between Germany and Turkey would be too large and also held the opinion that Germany needed no more labourers because there were enough unemployed people living in the poorer regions of Germany who could fill these vacancies. The United States, however, put some political pressure on Germany, wanting to stabilize and create goodwill from a potential ally. The German Department of Foreign Affairs carried on the negotiations after this, and in 1961 an agreement was reached.[6]

>adapted from a French novel
>fully French cast and production
>Dutch director

Movies about the life of bored bourgeois always been a thing in french cinema but that's only a part of it

This is not even the worst part, I think, I mean that when there are some sex scenes, they are very often meaningless, like a typical protagonist in a typical contemporary French movie copulates mechanically, there is almost no joy there, or to achieve some sort of gratification he/she must "go forward", like in that movie posted by the OP or in movies like:
imdb.com/title/tt3774694/

Blue is the Warmest Colour is also a good example, I think, ie. there is some "intense" sexual relationship between the main two characters, but despite its "ups and downs" for some reason it all feels very bland. I blame lack of cultural taboos, I mean that the best love stories depict lovers whose relationship is "impossible", but you cannot have a love story like that among people lacking any authenticity. Even movies that should be "spicy" like that one made by Ozon depicting a young prostitute:
imdb.com/title/tt2752200/
feels bland, without intense emotions one could expect in a movie like that.

I would say that all that French extreme was a kind of reaction, but this is also very superficial, because those movies only try to entertain those bored Parisians who may only become aroused watching a skinned woman (Martyrs) or a group of redneck cannibals.

Of course, I'm also over simplyfying here, because there are many other movies, eg. France produces many historical dramas (usually mediocre with some rare exceptions), there are some quasi-realistic thrillers, too (in this case the main problem is that they often miss the point while depicting city violence), etc. etc.

>over simplyfying
*oversimplifying, also sorry for other typos and icoherent sentences, I need some sleep

*incoherent, haha, exactly
