Comfy places to live

I wish I didn't live in London. I wish I lived somewhere like New England with a wife or at least some kind of satisfying existence. London is so fucking depressing overwhelming, lonely, melancholic and with only fleeting moments of happiness.

maybe I should see a shrink. anyway pls post comfy places to live

Seattle. Say what you will about muh liberals, muh homeless, muh small town, I don't care. Whenever I visit Seattle I feel at home and I hate leaving.

looks hideous.

Move somewhere sunny. I didn't think the weather here would make me so miserable, but it does. You need sunlight in your life

That town in New England is indeed comfy but it’s very small.

The thing America can’t get right, is having places that comfy in our mid-larger cities. I want to see stuff like that in EVERY city.

Anyway I think Atlanta is underrated. I also like the Raleigh/Durham area.
Atlanta can be chaotic in a really nice way. It’s a place with a good future too.

I can't imagine a Brit living in Atlanta desu. It doesn't usually attract Europeans, in my experience

take that back

New England is great if you live in a small town or a rural neighborhood. Avoid the cities like the plague though.

nothing comfier than mountains. heres a villlage from my area.

m8 I'm American and even I want to live in New England. NE is god-tier comfy. You have to be a bit of a a nature oriented/introverted kind of person though as there isn't much to do there.

That looks nice. Seattle has a really good music scene too if you're into indie stuff.

Good point yeah. I wouldn't even like constant sun, just somewhere where there are proper seasons. Most people here don't seem to care, but the weather gets to me even though i've never lived anywhere else.

You're probably right, going to a place like that would be more of a holiday in reality. I have heard good things about Atlanta, but I would like to move away from big cities (having lived in London for all my life).

I'm probably just romanticising it but living in a coastal town/small city in New England or North East would just seem perfect. It's beautiful, wealthy, and would remind me of home.

Can anyone who's lived there confirm?

Kraków, where I currently live. it's a big city by Polish standards, but compared to London it's tiny. it is a very melancholic city, but in a good way.

rain can be comfy, but speaking from experience it goes overbearing. Smoking cigs and listening to this Untrue under a shelter is comfy af, but not when you have to do it every day for 5 months.

Why the fuck hasn't it been raining lately? I was promised rain nearly every day

thanks user. wegmans has become an integral part of my fantasy of living in North Eastern USA. I don't know how you made a supermarket chain this good but it's proof of American exceptionalism.

That's stunningly beautiful. I hate the clash of modern/Victorian/Georgian architecture in London. Living in a medieval-ish town or city would be incredible.

shhhhh don't jinx it

Attached: providence.jpg (720x480, 102K)

I can't name a comfy place to live in here, because I haven't stayed long enough in order to confirm the fact that these places are comfy for staying permanently.

When talking about my short-lived experiences Tarapoto and Yurimaguas, mostly Yurimaguas, comes to mind. I had a pleasant time in there, and in the weeks where I stayed in my father's friend house in there, I forgot about all the stuff that was waiting for me in Lima. The downside was the overwhelming number of bats that I shared a bedroom with.

Then there is Puno, I plan to buy land there and build a big house when I have the money. The landscapes around the place where I plan to stay are beautiful and these quickly made me feel at peace, there little to no cars hanging around the area. It seems that there are foreigners with the same idea as me, there are a few American like houses in the outskirts of Ciudad de Puno, I hope that the prices aren't too high when I finally can purchase land there. Pic related is the closest thing that I found to the place where I want to stay, not nearly as beautiful.

>Living in a medieval-ish town or city would be incredible.
Sadly it's slowly losing it's charm as it becomes more of a tourist trap, as is the case with many medieval cities.

Attached: rynak_zima.jpg (1024x683, 158K)

I've been in those and they are crowded AF and the soccer moms don't know how to move

If you’re british you’d probably like Providence RI
All the good stuff about New England, and a lot of Portuguese fishermen for some reason, but not in a tiny remote town.
Also,A lot of those really old uber-rich American families send their kids to school there.

Have no idea why my post referenced that polish guy but that’s what I get for phoneposting.

Anyway I wonder what New Englanders have to say about Providence. My friend went to culinary school up there. So did Anthony Bourdain I believe.

Reminds me of Bioshock

>a shrink

Most comfy place I ever lived.
I unironically developed myself over there.
We Athens rats just live on top of each other while they make robota and do sports and art in the side.

not that guy you're replying too but I'm from where wegmans originated in rochester ny. a total shithole in the downtown area I'm at but I used to live in a lot of rural western ny towns and besides wannabe rednecks that visit myrtle beach south carolina every summer/spring break it's really comfy. thinking about living in some random small town in pennsylvania. and my favorite season is now and we had our first snowfall today. real comfy except for king cuomo and taxes

london is fun

>thinking about living in some random small town in pennsylvania.
funny. I'm trying to avoid being assigned to one of those towns rn

>muh rain
Seattle gets less rain than NYC but less sun too. Still more than anywhere in NW Europe

I live in Rochester too and honestly I can't wait to get out of here. It has some nice places but otherwise it's a depressingly average small/mid-sized American city. What sucks about that is that you get the worst of both worlds: there's none of the charm and personality of a small town, but neither is there the convenience and opportunity of a big city.

Snow is comfy but it fucks up my commute.

Its overrun by Br*Toid tourists though

Downstate New York is nothing but international niggers of different kinds living around a shitty urban area.

Cities are the fucking worst.

>Atlanta
Any take on the area near Emory?

Upstate NY seems to be weirdly depressing, even compared to other cold states.

Japan is kinda comfy. To me, Sapporo has pretty decent weather and it is big enough to get most amenities of cities but not too big like London.

motor cars are not allowed on this island

which would be my ideal American city based on this

hates autumn
hates winter
I drive a Kei car
I like only places with warm and hot weather all year round
I am a fan and follower of Major League Soccer (MLS) only
I think that the army is for morons
I think the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB are for fools
I usually wear shorts and sandals shirt most of the time
I love peace
I have a cocker spaniel dog

Miami

seattle is really nice, its too bad about all the liberals

>china has such a thick layer of smog they get no sun

Attached: 1542176698447.jpg (640x633, 42K)

Atlanta

Miami is weird. It's full of skyscrapers but you need a car to get everywhere.

LA

Asheville, NC is very comfy, but it's riddled with the most cancerous liberals this country has to offer.

Attached: lead_720_405.jpg (720x405, 103K)

Oh yea it is but South FL is probably the only US region that doesn't even have autumn-like season. (Idk about Puerto Rico but w/e) Even December and January are like summer.

New England mentioned.

Doubt that

appalachia seems really comfy scenery wise, but it's riddled with poverty and shitty trailer parks
shame really

I'd move to Scottish highlands and live my life in quiet contemplation. Also lots of whiskey.

Attached: 0012232342.jpg (1920x1200, 223K)

He's wrong.
North Carolina is a swing state, that's why I love it.
NC has a bunch of great cities btw. Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte, Asheville, Winston-Salem, etc.
The Research Triangle is one of the most educated places on the planet btw. I'm trying to get a job there.

Lol, Asheville is a resort town for rich southerners. Probably only half the residents are local.
It's in the appalachian mountains but it's not "Appalachia"

I've been, the weather's so godawful I don't know how it's inhabitated by humans.

Are you from NC? Chapel Hill and Duke are riddled with bra-less pink haired commies; you'll see.

>I never want to see the sun again

There's no way they're worse than the animals they have in Portland and San Francisco

Nah but I got to visit Durham and Raleigh last summer.
Reminded me of a nicer version of my home (birmingham). We also have a lot of bra-less pink-haired commies but they don't have fancy degrees so it's even worse. I can handle it

I could see myself living there, just because I want to punch GabeN in his face... Vancouver is a better city, though

I've actually been to Portland and San Francisco multiple times and the Jow Forums description of those places is way off. They're both very quiet towns, it's a peaceful vibe.
SF has certain parts with SJWs but even walking through the middle of the Castro you won't see screaming SJWs or anything.
t. from alabama, brother lives in Berkeley

Godawful compared to what exactly? I live in goddamn Finland, the sun this time of the year peaks over the horizon for few hours before it's gone again. Not that it matters because it's been so cloudy we've had maybe 5 HOURS of sunlight during this whole month. It's cold, wet and dark. This shit makes refugees pack their stuff and head back to what ever war torn hellhole they came from because dodging bullets is a better alternative than this.

>wegmans has become an integral part of my fantasy of living in North Eastern USA

What the fuck? Are you well? Do you have brain damage?

Look into North Carolina.

A lot of people from those cities moved to AVL because it is cheaper, and with them they brought a litany of anarchist book clubs and Marxist ran cafes. It's common to see pink-haired monstrosities walk around topless (which was made legal.)

Well, I guess I'll have to check out Birmingham then, and bring a hazmat suit.

I visited Scotland at the end of November. It's not about temperature or sunlight.

The winds were so strong they could almost knock you down. I'm sure they knock plenty of tourists down all the time; if you're a tall nord it's gonna suck.
Yes obviously the snowfall sucks but if you're talking about NORTHERN scotland, the trains shut down and won't run up to the highlands in winter. The roads were built by roman and celtic soldiers so unless you have a land rover you're not gonna be able to leave your cottage for a few months of the year.

Seriously, if you don't believe me book a flight there next month. Nothing's even open in northern scotland in December.

The area near the Emory campus is really high-end IIRC. I'm not an ATL resident but I remember it having a few really nice houses. There's honestly not a lot there, it's a quiet neighborhood.

Check out curbed.com's atlanta section. Curbed is a really great site for following American cities.

Dude, honestly Birmingham is so full of obnoxious SJWs it's annoying. I can't even go out anymore.

Last weekend I went with a friend to one bar and we started talking to this lady, and her gay friend and her other friend. Then they started being really bitchy and told us they were all in open marriages and have a lot of sex.
They were being really annoying and bitchy so we just left to find food at a late-night place, where some gay dude knocked over my friend's drink and another gay dude ran up to him yelling at him saying they were gonna get him kicked out. I pushed the other gay dude and just had to go.

Fuck this place.

unironically not worth living with the liberals.

>atlanta
>raleigh
You're not a nigger by chance are you?

he's right. I've been there.
They're the drugged-out losers left over from the hippie generation, but they had kids and evolved into this strange amalgamation of a cancerous liberal that you don't get anywhere else. Maybe Colorado or California.

Which Birmingham are you talking about?
Niggers don't know how to operate computers so I doubt it.

can somebody redpill me on boston
specifically what there is besides sports and history

Colorado is a good place for medium-sized comfy cities. Colorado Springs, Greeley, Pueblo, Fort Collins....
Fort Collins is super comfy 10/10

Universities, tech startups, and funny accents

a hoard of niggers looking to overthrow the city at any moment.

liberal shithole

t.

Massachusetts itself is a liberal shithole. It makes the entire NE look bad. They are not called Massholes for nothing.

it literally has like 3 of the top global universities in one city, the highest IQ of all states, pretty sure it's top 3 quality of life, beautiful scenery, great weather, great history, great architecture

but you're mad because it's liberal HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA just stay in ohio faggot

New England's better

Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein look comfy. Allgau is 10/10 imo.

t. used to live in Karlsruhe

New England is supreme comfy, everywhere in New England is comfy. Here's a picture from Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood

Yep
The only place in the US that still looks European.

I live in Hessen, it's pretty comfy

Boston is worse and it's major city or nothing if you're not a loser

Noice

Boston's the best city in the country you west coast scum

New England is definitely /comfy/ with great colonial American history, the con is houses/property is expensive.

>Raleigh/Durham
As a North Carolinian, I can honestly say the traffic through this area is horrible. If you like sprawling cities then that's fine, but I prefer something more tranquil.

looks like a post rock/ shoegaze album cover. Makes me want to listen to Whirr and stair outside my window while smoking a cig and observing the rain.

Oh yeah

I was in Camden this past summer, very comfy

honestly, their are some aspects of liberal culture I enjoy, the hipster coffee shops and organic grocery stores can be rather serene. They're not that bad if you can look past their obnoxious politics.

This, also number one education system

I don't want you in my country

yeah but as far as I'm aware you do not get anywhere near the crime rates as other poverty stricken places in the US like inner city Detroit or Chicago. Sure they may be more poor, slightly stuck in their ways, and not as educated but they're humbled, honest, and hardworking people. I'm from the Piedmont though, many in my family were like this, so maybe that's just my predilections.
