Yes. I went to an all Male boarding school for 9th-12th grade. There was a lot of fighting. Been in two fights as an adult. Once was self defense when i got mugged at a gas station, the other was when i beat up my gf's ex for being a creepy stalker.

second fight i lost. the fucker just unleashed a barrage of punches in my got and i crumbled. we shook hands afterwards since it was a planned fight. I got pushed into it by friends.
third fight i wanted to stand up for a friend. Got kicked in my upper leg and i crumbled yet again. Shook hands afterwards
Fourth i got suckerpunched by a gypsy because i didn't want to hand my money over.
Fifth i got into another planned fight with a gypsy. Beat him since he was smaller. He was a beggar. Pretty fun kid so we kept a friendship afterwards.
Plenty more fights that i won and lost. some draws some just stupid. It was the Romanian childhood in the 90's. These days zoomers wouldn't raise a finger at eachother.

My first fight was in school at age 12. We had a gopnik bydlo guy in our school and sbdy said him that I called him FAG(im sure that it was trolling) so when lessons ended he grabbed my hand and said he is gonna kill me. I was scared af cos I never fight before. He started to punching me and i was trying to block his arms. Then i noticed that his arms are shorter than mine and it was winter and I had army shoes on(he was wearing chinese nike shoes) so I ve started kicking him and then hit his head until he fall on the ground.

In the Netherlands you barely get punished for fighting (unless you kick someone who's down). So there are a lot of people looking for a fight. Especially in high school, in the nightlife and at football events.

I never went out to look for a fight, because I'm quite a calm person. But if people were looking for a fight I just gave them what they wanted. I used to think I was quite strong (and won about 50% of the time, which means I was average lol).

Ironically enough, when I started doing fighting sports I never encountered anyone looking for a fight again. And I never felt the desire to fight again. So I haven't fought outside of sports in years.

When I started doing sports I also realized that people without any training can't fight at all. Which also included me.
That's also one of the reasons why I don't want to fight with an untrained person anymore really. It's no fun.
