The Welsh seem to be successfully reviving their language. I don't mean that we should be forcing Maori on high school students who've got careers to study for, I mean expose primary school students to Maori language and culture more so we can encourage a point of difference between NZ culture and the rest of the world. Maori culture has helped prevent our nation from being as heavily Americanised as Australia, UK and much of continental Europe. Kiwis are quite unique in our behaviour and our outlook on the world.
