>Buy a multi family property
>Rent it out to new millennial parents with shit jobs

Unironically put at least 100k in crypto with 40% BTC, 40% ETH, 20% whatever

Do you think I can just slap down cash and buy a small apartment building? Wont that seem suspicious?

A nice gravestone for starters

>invest
>in crypto
Too volatile. Didn't BTC lose half its value last year?

Become a truck driver obv

Just get a lawyer and ask about the process of using inheritance for new investments

For my uncle you mean? He specifically requested a pine box and 0 ceremony. He was a frugal man, probably why he had such an incredible stash

>Literally shaking right now

Sage

buy LINK nig

fuck that, don't waste the money

Lmao right??

Part of me wants to keep the cash to use for petty things. I wouldn't have to pay taxes on it that way.

please leave

Yeah OP, great time to buy, at least throw a few grand at it.

See
Don't be a faggot, user

>buy a corvette
>put some in a mutual fund (50k)
>buy a house (less than 100k)
>put some in a retirement account (30k)
>use the remainder as pocket money
Make sure you put it in a trust before you do anything OP

Pay taxes on it and split evenly with family members after closing probate. You may pay yourself $25 a day for multiple visits to the county courthouse until it is fully resolved to all parties' satisfaction. I may or may not represent your cousins interests in this matter

B-but user, cryptos ARE volatile
Am I wrong?
Sorry I don't usually lurk on Jow Forums
I just wanted some advice

biz is 98% crypto so if you say no crypto someone is inevitably going to tell you to fuck off.

I have no cousins, and I'm not sharing with my parents because they're assholes (my father ruined my credit by taking out loans in my name)
I'm keeping it. Probably going to invest in real estate, but where?

Would you like to invest in my online biz? Youd get a nice % and im assuming you know your way arounf a computer?

If youre interested ill reply with a temp email

Damn, I might be asking the wrong people for advice, then. Cryptos are fucking terrible investments.

Put 100k in crypto I’m eth, btc and promising alts. You’re honestly probably better off holding cash for the impending market correction and sovereign debt crisis. Maybe pick up precious metals. Idk it’s pretty fucked in most markets

zerohedge.com/news/2018-06-02/heres-where-californians-are-moving-escape-skyrocketing-prices

Really? Fucking scumbag

No thanks

Crypto is too volatile

Well $300k actually wouldn't get taxed at all because it is below the $5.4 million threshold. But you risk the IRS seizing it if your uncle gets suspected of not paying income taxes on it.

Visit your uncle's place, find out more about him and what he was interested in. If you can't think of anything else then then yeah generic investments.

Short shitcoins with leverage on bitmex ur welcome

Thanks user, this is promising

Fuck off, faggot

you are not in the right place, go off and buy your house @ all time high

Oh sorry did I ruin the show?

If I don’t see some creativity or originality I call it out.

>800% ROI in 2 months
Do you know what the word "volatile," means you imbecile?

My advice would be to buy one bitcoin (currently $7.5k) and hold it for a few years. That's the only crypto investment I would currently advise.

You just came into 300k and your worried about volatility? Other Anons are right about real estate, everything is at all time high and it's due for a correction.

300K is a lot, but to buy real estate in an area where you can make a profit quickly is not likely.

I don't see the issue with investing 33% in crypto - Yes, it volatile, but that also means it can increase exponentially. Might as well take a little risk to make a lot more money.

i wouldn't recommend investing in anything given current market conditions. Buy precious metals and wait

>you risk the IRS seizing it if your uncle gets suspected of not paying income taxes on it.
I have no idea how he made this cash, either. Most of the bills are pretty new, which rules out the possibility of a mattress fund. He could have been involved in illicit activity. Like I said, I only met him 4 or 5 times in my entire life. I have no idea who he really was, which is why it might be safer to keep it and only spend a few hundred at a time.

I like bond ladders 3-5% untaxed return and keep working.

>Didn't BTC lose half its value last year?
look at any 5 year period! see how did btc perform...

report it to the government. They'll know what to do with it.

I'm worried about buying large amounts of BTC using cash, though. Shit's dangerous.

Will BTC even be around in 5 years? Central banks could make that shit illegal, or regulate it to hell and back.
Or it could increase in value tenfold
It's a risky investment, besides I'd have to buy BTC using cash which is incredibly risky.

user this is what you should do.
Seriously. Just listen.
I don't know how your credit is, but if its not great, pay off your debts and improve it. NOW.
Real estate. Don't listen to these ass hats.
Buy a multi-family property in a good area that will absolutely be rented out.
You want to look at FHA owner occupancy loans. Sometimes as little as 3.5% down - and you only have to live in the property for 1 year.
Rent out the other units, your living arrangements are taken care of, and in a year you can move out with passive income.
Buy 1 BTC. Now is actually a good time to do it - Don't touch it. Don't day trade.
Use a lot of it for your every day expenses.
Make sure that man gets a fantastic funeral and a very nice headstone.

Of course there are risks involved. They are not gonna ban bitcoin but regulate it somewhat. Also you have services like localbitcoin to buy from sellers hand to hand.

>pay denbts
Done
>invest in real estate
Seems to be the consensus, thanks for the details on HOW I should invest
>Buy 1 BTC
I might actually do this
>make sure that man has a fantastic funeral
He specifically asked in his will to be buried in a pine box without ceremony. By the time I received the key to the deposit box, it had already been taken care of.

>services like localbitcoin
Still dangerous. How can I avoid getting robbed? (Aside from travelling with an armed posse)

Boomerbrain

If trips put all in link

Watch out for the tax vultures.
Start small carpet cleaning business and claim this money as income a little at a time.

lol

>dat cope

Great argument. Are you somehow implying cryptos aren't volatile?

This is actually good advice, thanks user

I don't see the money in real estate. I don't understand why it's a good investment. Tell me how someone with 300k can do well in real estate?

dude that is only $450

Also give a bit to a good charity-there are kids with shit parents and no rich uncle

name your first born son after him

You probably want to start by getting a mutual fund set up with Wells Fargo. Then I personally would diversify the rest between bonds, 401k and a college fund. Make sure you have a 6 month (preferably a year) emergency fund too. Once all of that is done you should have a nice little nest egg for retirement and some left over for a down payment.

You have to realize that 300k isn't that much money but with compound interest you could see whopping returns in 40 years or so. Certainly enough to settle down at 67 when your social security kicks in.

I wouldn't even think about wasting this money on cryptocurrencies, if you're feeling risky maybe go for some high yield bonds or slighty risky stocks like tesla or amazon. Good luck user, I hope you invest wisely.

If you have to ask brainlet then its not for you.

Winner

This is why the first thing you should do is Ser a lawyer and put it in a trust
Yeah you can buy a few houses and rent them out but consider the costs associated with that
>property taxes
>garbage and sewage
>maintenance
And assuming you don't want to manage that yourself you will probably need to pay for a property manager
You could buy a starter house and pay for it in cash (less than 50k) and just take a vacation with half in a index fund and some for you to spend every month
If you want to grow your money and make a significant amount within a few years here is what is consider
>peer lending
>start a business with a low cost of entry and high profit margins (ecommerce or any kind of service related business)
300k isn't a lot when you scale it up, but if you invest it right (and not on speculative scam coins) you can easily turn that into 5M within 3 years
Good suggestions

You just got 300k and came onto biz asking for advice and then suddenly realized this was the wrong place to ask advice? Maybe you should do a little research to actually find out if that money was illicitly acquired. If not, you'd be an idiot to try to avoid having the gov find out about it and just pay a few hundred a month in cash. This is 300k, not 10k. Get off your ass, do some research, and go talk to a financial advisor. Not some internet board filled with larping NEETs who dont know their ass from their elbows and have net worths under 25k

Chinese gold pandas.

buy physical silver
30 monster boxes

You give advice to go to Wells Fargo for a mutual fund and I'm the brainlet? ok sure

The only way to make real money from this is tax liens or private sells where you can turn around and make 40% off the property, but most of these Brainlets here only think renting is the only way but problem with renting is there is a 90% chance you won't get your return back on your investment in your first year considering costs and taxes

>establish good credit
>FHA loan on a duplex
>rent out one side and live in the other for free
>use the equity to buy another investment property
>keep doing this
it's really not that hard once you have the money to do

Its been a trusted institution since the late 1800's. Bad companies don't last that long. Try harder next time.

you could literally buy a house, rent out the extra rooms, and live rent free while your house is being paid off. you rent, don't you cuck?

You get fee-raped, but maybe you are into that sort of thing.

I own. I'm not cucked by a lender or landlord.

>bydlo fuck too scared to go all in crypto with his dead gay uncles money

fucking pleb go back to the ditt homo

This must be bait. Surely.

If you're worried about going under the radar you could mortgage it.

>be me
Who the fuck else would you be

this guy was fucking based buy a truck in his honor

put 100k in crypto and live it up for a while

fuck off drug dealer
you will be killed in due time

>^^^^
look at this self righteous faggot.

op, last year 2017, btc started at around 1k, and closed at 20k. this year it might be down, but the year isnt over yet. and last years gains are enough to cover this years losses imo.

>do a little research
He's a trucker with mostly new bills, doesn't take Scotland Yard to deduce the fact that these are ill-gotten gains

Put 100k in crypto and 200k in equities.

>I'd have to buy BTC using cash which is incredibly risky.
why would it be?

>hello sir I'd like to purchase 2BTC for $15,000 cash, can I trust you to not fucking jump me?

>listening to biz

You can meet them in some remote forest. The serene landscape will calm them, leaving the transaction to proceed unhindered.

Buy gold and silver before the dollar implodes. Everything is overinflated now because of cheap money.. take at least 100k of that and go to a coin shop and buy gold and silver. The gains will be immense when the dollar crisis/currency reset hits and there is a deflationary collapse of all asset prices

NOT GOING TO MAKE IT

Attached: 084.png (600x512, 298K)

Boise Idaho is a good place to look btw ;)

You don't seem to understand the meaning of the word "volatile" in this context. Anything that generates 2000% ROI one year, only to halve over a matter of weeks the next is a poor investment in my mind.

I'm not some fucking daytrader

Bitcoin ATM nigger, use one.
Don't feed it more than 5k at once and you're good.

I'd rather have a stocked bunker than 100k in metal. People are radical as fuck these days. It would be an all out bloodbath if people didn't get there gibs.

>Didn't BTC lose half its value last year?
Sounds like a good buying opportunity to me.

remember katrina?
fucking animals.

Start putting a thousand into a bank account once each week, in two separate accounts, once it's there transfer that money into crypto for holding long term to get gainz. The rest, put into an index fund or use for small expenses in cash over time.

I want you to die so bad.
