This

Prime Minister's Question Time is essentially shitposting between the PM and the opposition leader for the first 15ish minutes, after that, it calms down with members questions to the PM.

is that the burden of tradition?

lmfao not today it didnt

This but unironically. It's tradition, but it went full retard. For example, you know why British MP's growl like a bunch of gremlins, hoot and holler et cetera?

Way back when Britain was civilized, applauding after someone made a good point was deemed disruptive. Instead it was tradition to exclaim "hear hear!", which was basically shorthand to "listen to what this man just said, it was a solid argument!". This was before political parties existed (Whigs and Tories were at best loose coalitions of individual members), so you'd only have a few guys shouting "hear hear!" at a time and they'd generally shut up after that.

Over time, as more and more chavs (the British that British media doesn't want you to know are the majority) found their way into parliament, "hear hear" devolved to "ear ear", which is basically shorthand for "oi bruv, u 'eard what this 'ere cunt said? Bloody good argument, and if you fink otherwise I'll knock ye on the gabbah I swer on me mum!". But the mongrelization of England wasn't complete, so eave "ear ear" devolved into some gremlin-esque grunting. Combine this with strengthening parties and party doctrines, and you basically have:

>PM says something
>ENTIRE government party growls

>Opposition leader says something
>ENTIRE opposition growls

It is tradition, but in the sense that a decaying house keeps the solid gold doorknobs polished because of tradition. Doesn't change the fact that they're stuck to a rotting shack.

>British MPs don't even get a desk

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Do they laugh at wogs and nigger pms too like umuna chuka?
Why don't they get rid of the "hate speech/harassment" laws if they get to do it

Interesting alternative history.

At least it was fun to watch you almost fall asleep when you try to watch the German stuff

Wasn't worth the (You) he tapped all that out to get, either. You're just as bad.

Yeah, imagine politicians actually trying to discuss stuff rather than trying to come up with clever one-liners that sound good in three minute soundbites on youtube or the evening news. That'd just be dreadful.

Where can I watch todays parliament?
could only find this youtube.com/watch?v=_xti-aj7jE4

The idea here is to keep a small country like environment. Unlike the US where it’s humongous rather spaced out so it gives the impression there is no fraternizing. It becomes disorderly when reps get grants and too much organized crime is involved.

>The idea here is to keep a small country like environment.
>Commons has 650 seats
>Senate has 100 seats

And why is yours so fucking ugly

Germany's isn't exactly the prettiest though. It makes sense that it looks so modern; Germany has no tradition of democracy. Or any form of government that isn't "BIG MAN STRONK".

You've clearly not understand what he posted. He never mentioned numbers.

Cameron couldve been great

youtu.be/4VTdgB03pk4

Yeah, but he was a spineless coward who struggled to command control over his MPs.

*ahem*
FUCK EU!

DO DA DO DA

this
british have always been like a bunch of hens, just look at any Monty Python skit

>Germany: cold, sterile, monotone, modern, characterless
>Serbia: warm, historical, charactered, historical

yes i said historical twice ok?

It's too small, tbqh. Maybe the MP's would act more civilized if they had a bit of personal space.

Unfortunately they had to rebuild a load of shit when we switched to a one chamber system in the 70s.

This is how the second chamber looked.
