Yes. If you go to western Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, or Russia, you should always tell people you're Canadian unless you want spit in your foods or drinks. Notable exceptions would be Georgia, Ukraine, Kosovo, Albania, and the Philippines, though people would still probably be a bit nicer if you said Canadian.
