I live on an urban religious commune in a major Midwestern city. We all work in our shared businesses and distribute the profits according to need. Education, transportation, rents, medical expenses, and mortgages are all covered. We are basically a functioning communist society
The community is about 50 years old now and has about 500 members give or take a couple dozen
I don't want to provide proof because I don't want to dox myself, but I doubt you really care
do you all have lots of stinky sex? if yes, how do i join?
William Smith
Pseudo calvinist - Lutheran schism
Mason James
Do the leaders of the group fuck most of the women?
Austin Phillips
>I live on an urban religious commune in a major Midwestern city You are not isolated then, but live among normies? How is that going to work for 50 years?
Kevin Jones
Really prudish attitude towards sex I haven't heard anything, they are true believers, so if it's happened they are really good at hiding it
Leo Myers
We tend to have a pretty high attrition rate and attitudes have definitely changed since the begining, I really don't know how we'll survive in the future, I'm hopeful though
Brayden Brown
Do you all run a business of some kind?
Henry Hernandez
Yeah a couple of them, mainly home remodeling, plumbing, electricians. We also run an organic farm
Christopher Rogers
All these american sub-christian sects weird me out. But it's probably really useful and cozy to have a community.
Is it rightwing or marred by the dogmas of general society? Do you all live in very close proximity? Do people identify with the religion to the degree where it pops up in daily talk or is it just a sort of pretext to practice neotribalism around? Is it registered for tax exemption and do you use it a lot? Is it above or below average IQ/socio-economically?
Try to go rural and isolate?
Jason Flores
1. > It's generally right wing, but apolitical. Most people I've asked either abstained or voted for trump. There is definitely a difference between generational attitudes, most young people don't have a problem with LGBT people for example 2. > Most of us live within two miles of each other. I live within two blocks of all of my grandparents, and share a house with my aunt, uncle and four kids 3. > Yes, definitely. People can get very tribalistic and isolationist but that mainly depends on their personality, it isn't a big deal for some others. You'll often hear about the evils of "the World" 4. > The organization is tax exempt. The businesses and any extra work we do for ourselves aren't, but I'm really not the person to ask about this 5. > Above average for the area which doesn't say much. People tend to be pretty smart, really neurotic though 6. > We were originally from a rural area, and there have been talks about going back, but I personally would prefer not to, I'm a city boy

What are your views on Catholicism and other Protestant beliefs?
Thomas Brooks
Really don't have much to do with them. I can respect catholics and mainline protestants. I really dislike evangelicals though
Joshua Martin
>I really dislike evangelicals though why
Jonathan Thompson
You got me.How did you know? I'm kinda creeped out here
Noah Martinez
does he even need a reason
Wyatt Rivera
Are you in abstinence? How are the women in that cult?
Colton Roberts
They are just really chintzy and don't really even understand their own religion Pretty much. Shy and family minded (It's not a cult)
Alexander Gray
Are you a virgin? Do you get assigned a wife at a 18? Can i join?
