Weak willed language learners

How did you overcome it?
I've been learning Japanese for about 4 months and I'm slowly losing the will and excitement of learning it. I'm considering learning something else like Norwegian, German, or Polish/Russian, but I haven't truly made up my mind on if I'll stop or not. Should I just quit it entirely or should I stay strong and continue my weeb learning?

Easy. I worked there, had to learn to live there.

Same boat. I understand most grammatical constructs but I can't be arsed to learn Kanji.
Use jgrpg-sakura for short stories, and jisho to identify the Kanji.

Lucky bastard. I'm not able to move to any country to learn so I have to do it from home. I might just quit and try Russian (Or german.)

I wont quit learning Jap completely, but I think a 2-4 year break of it while I learn something else and get good at that would be a better option. Kanji is easy to me but the grammar cucks me too hard sadly.

I don't think it will be much of a difference. maybe if anime doesn't do it for you, then some aspect specific to Russia or Germany will do, but that aside, what helped me to truly boost my English was browsing English spaces such as Jow Forums and Reddit. my English is far from being perfect, but maybe browsing 2chan or similar could help you to keep up with your Japanese studies

you will never make it, simple as that, you don't even have to like it, just do it 2 hours per day or so, before you know it (aka in 4 years) you will be able to read. It's not about fun and it's not about instant gratification, or any gratification for that matter

Start reading more and watching japanese streamers/youtubers, even if you don't understand every word alone the context can reveal unknown words to you.

And in 4 months you'll make the same thread asking if you should quit learning Russian or German. 4 months is nothing when you're learning a language, especially a difficult one. Just pick one and stick to it, it's not supposed to be fun and exciting all the time.

>The weeb has no willpower
Doesn't surprise me
